I purchased this app so that my niece who is seven years old would have a good vocabulary game to play I figured that the second easiest AI would be a reasonable challenge However I was wrong The first few words that the AI played included rared hemes and cris All of them words that I a reasonably educated adult had to look up It makes me wonder what the higher levels of AI would have chosen Needless to say she was not enjoying herself and I find myself forced to consider deleting this app The AI is ridiculous BookWyrm67
I thoroughly enjoy UP it is fun to play with friends jab each other with a good win or commiserate all vowels or consonates However I hate that challenges just show up from strangers I feel like I m rejecting someone I don t even know and yet also feel as though my privacy is somehow compromised Wish you could turn off the stranger challenges if you choose I m sure a lot of people enjoy challenging and meeting new people but I would prefer to hear only from friends Friends yes strangers no DoberDi

Somehow I didn t see how to write another review Will always ask the same question as below why can t I keep seeing my tiles after my turn when playing computer Hal They fall away from the board I ve sent emails with this request and no answer They lost a star because of this Love the game For those who are waiting to find people to play against do you know you can play against the computer at several levels no waiting I play against Hal the highest level and have won but for some mysterious and maddening reason after I play the tiles fall away from the rack so I can t be working on the game while Hal plays several seconds each time Waste of my time and unfair as I m sure Hal doesnt have that disadvantage Agree that some strange words show up and others not considered legit that should be A dictionary would help Fun Trythisone25

I can understand excluding offensive words but too many real non offensive words are excludeddumbed down from the board version Use a bigger dictionary Good but not as good as the board version
This is my favorite word game but the lags freezes and crashes make it very frustrating I have to open it two or three times before it stays open and doesnt crash During gameplay it freezes and lags often but the timer keeps going At times the letter tiles will disappear but the timer keeps running The game must be completely closed out and reopened Then of course it crashes and I start all over again I have the latest update and the most current iOS Fun but very buggy

I remember an old version of thiswhich Ive missed for many years This is every bit as good Have only played against the computer so 4 stars for now If the humantohuman interface is as good its 5 stars UPDATE human interface is generally excellent The game does have a few discontinuities like hiccups in knowing where it is from time to time But even if these are never worked out its still very very enjoyableif you love Scrabble Lovely game

This is by far my favorite word game Upwords works exceptionally well for me I fine no glitches or problems I highly recommend it to all who enjoy word games I always get a fast response to all my email questions For landscape version I would like a large board the same size as the portrait If all the top info and buttons were placed on the right side of board it looks like this would be possible If not no problems I will continue to use the portrait board Thank You for a great game Elaine Fantabulous Game

I have played Upwords for decades with my motherour favorite game I was thrilled when it became available as an app After I used Skywords for a while The only thing I would like to see different is more clarity in who starts a game Sometimes when I am challenged the play starts with me and other times with my opponent Is this just random In that same vein I think the challenge should always come from the loser Isnt it appropriate that the champion is the one who should be challenged So Glad
The only reason it lost a star is the latest upgrade keeps putting me out so I have to get back in from the beginning Love playing people all over the world Favorite Game
