Optimum WiFi Hotspot Finder

Just like the company the app falls right in line Its not functional or easy to use Its very comber some and misleading The app shows you everything you arent looking for For instance why do I need to know theirs an indoor hotspot if its for private use only App just fails Good luck to anyone who get it     It might not be the app design it might just be cablevision overall

Why bother Every time you open the app you are told there is an update So the app is locked up while updating before you can use it The locations and their names are often wrong Shouldnt it provide the same info that you can get about optimum wifi on optimum tv     Out of date and keeps loading updates

I dont know where Optimum covers but this app is useless in California If Optimum is your ISP Im sure its fantastic     Optimum sites onlyuseless on West Coast USA

Map mode is OK but list mode and search engine are worthless because the database seems to only contain details such as site name or type for indoor sites maintained by private businesses for the exclusive use of their paying customers but not for any of the outdoor sites that any member of the general pubic can use such as the local public library MacDonalds and Starbucks so that none of the public sites show up on the lists and searching for them by name returns a blank        Not helpful

For at least a year this app tries to update with a 665mb file It says it updates but on any relaunch it tries to update again The identified optimum locations are correct but there are more not shown in the current app This app is priceless when on the road trying to find spots to get fast wifi           Update the database already

You have a lot of optimum partners there like cable tv and TWC why cant u show it on the map     Data base in Manhattan are empty

But it does a pretty good job              Not perfect

This is a great app to have when you are traveling around Long Island You can save on your phone data charges when outside your home They keep it up to date too              Really Handy

Im in Dutchess County and find very few areas that the app actually works Ive also had a problem in Manhattan as well If the coverage was there like it shows on their advertisement Im sure I would be greatly impressed Reduce the ads improve the service        AREAS COVERED

downloaded for my laptop I had to creat an apple ID account to get it and now it wont run to show me where the hotspots arewaste of time     doesnt work

I love the new redesigned app and is more user friendly than the previous Version The map view is now bigger then it was old map had the listing at the bottom of the map which kind of obstructing the view                 Like update

I was on vacation in the 30339 zip code I did a random search for public wifi and noticed that Cablevision wifi was available The app doesnt list the hot spots even after a database update     Not updated in Atlanta

In a major metropolitan area with 1000s of WiFi sites and this app shows none Only red blotches on the map and nothing in list view Not worth the time to download     Junk

Cant find the free hotspot I am on now as I write this review I had to use the general settings on my iPhone 5 which easily found this hotspot This might only be buggy with iPhone 5 and could be great for older iPhones though        Didnt work for me

I got this app thinking I could identify optimum hotspots sign on to them locally save some data Whoa My bad All I get to see is a cute map of all the many hot spots around me but cannot access any of them I even called an optimum app customer agent for help with this app and spent 20min getting absolutely NO where He even said to click the cable wi fi logo which I did multiple times with zero success in accessing any of the hot spots I also have not been able to log in to any of the optimum partnership hot spots at all so far which I was told should be accessible to me as an optimum online triple play customer So Its just another case of Water water every where and not a drop to drink Dont waste precious data space on your phone with this app Whats the point if you cant use it to sign on for the Wi Fi access at the spots located If some one tells me how and I can do it easily I repost a much better app review after that     Totally Useless

The app shows Optimimum Wifi hot spots as advertised It doesnt show private ones Did you people seriously think this app was going to list all the hotspots in the tri state area or in Virginia                 Pay attention

There are three public wifi hotspots within a 10 mile radius of my home this app shows none of them I tried downloading the data update and still nothing A competing app shows all three of the hotspots even without a data update Its a shame because this app has a great GUI and isnt full of spam           Not so good
