Description OmniFocus for iPhone brings task management to your fingertips. Keep track of tasks by project, place, person, or date. With OmniFocus for iPhone, you ll always have your important information at hand, whether it s ...
I have omni for my iPhone iPad and my Mac Why must I buy the app for the apple watch Not happy and I dont feel omni is looking out for the little guy           Apple watch blues
I dont have an iPad Why do I need to pay 20 to get the iOS version of the app just to get review Ostensibly its not a Pro feature as its included in the standard version of both the iOS and Mac apps But if I just have an iPhone and I want review mode I am forced to pay an additional fee to get review mode Its effectively become a Pro feature if you just have an iPhone This decision to move to a universal app seems like one motivated by financial reasons due to the App Store environment rather than one made out of concern for the user And please dont say that its a long term gain for the user because this way youll have sustainable revenue which will allow you to support the app blah blah blah Im already 100 into this thing between Mac and iPhone Just give us Review Mode              Why dont we get review mode
Have been using Omni focus on my iPhone iPad and Mac for years Best productivity tool I have ever used Worth the price of investment                 Worth every penny
Apple watch should not be 20 Omnifocus is great but they should not have charged 20 for the apple watch extension I think its going to cost them more by losing customers than what they will make in the short term Not a smart move in my opinion     Apple watch should not be 20
The sync is too slow and they keep nickel and charging you for upgrades     Too slow and too expensive
Watch support only on for universal app Combine all crumbs to one app     Shame
Your only value as a customer is whats in your wallet App deleted     20 for Watch support
I keep everything in OmniFocus and its great for helping me get things done Sync is solid fast and free                 Amazing GTD app
Why does it seem like this company is ripping off its customers I mean to have been supporting their apps all this time at a significantly higher price point only to be forced to pay again Wheres the logic cant invest in this anymore     Huh
In just looking at a couple of the reviews often OF gets lessor stars because it is expensive They charge for each device platform major updates and their products true of other Omnigroup items cost more than other options I look at expense and expensive a bit differently For me I get tremendous value from this application It is in David Allen terms my trusted system That makes it a structure for completion and accomplishment How valuable is that Certainly more than I paid If I did not use it on my phone or my iPad or my Mac I would not pay for that platform But for me having it all everywhere is worth it I too suffer a bit of frustration with paying for major upgrades but unlike some other software the upgrades have always held new valuable features for me It is at times a complex application and not for everyone But if you are comfortable with technology manage big things over time projects it is worth your consideration                 Is it expensive
How dare them pathetic they waste our money You greedy people     Rip off
As others reviewed this company simply likes to rip off their customers Done with Omni group     Greedy company
This is the iPhone version right Apple Watch is an iPhone accessory so this is the right app for the integration     Bring Apple Watch Funcionality
Why would I pay to upgrade from v1 to v2 then have to pay to have new features by completing my bundle I dont have a watch or iPad We were told for the longest time that a universal app would not be made available as the iPad and iPhone were completely different code Also features are stale still no repeating tasks No longer recommend     Paid to upgrade to 20 pay again for new features
Terrible customer service     Disappointed by their decision
Ive had this app for a year and finally started using it as a project management tool for keeping track of my active clients and all activities associated with them I finally feel like Im on top of my business rather than playing catchup all the time This is a homerun for me                 Great project management app
What a ghastly greedy moneygrabbing stunt you pulled with your new OF app Everyone who spent 4000 should have got the new app without paying Im done with you App deleted     Ghastly Greedy MoneyGrabbing Stunt
No iWatch Support No I wont pay 20 more oh and thanks Apple for not posting my well written comedic review to help soothe my fellow abused GTDers out there who bought into this over priced app     Cmon really
I have been a loyal Omnifocus user since the beginning I have bought each update for my Macbook and my iPhone Now that you have added universal support to only the old iPad version of the app I have decided to find another solution for my GTD needs This is a poor customer service model I have ordered my Apple Watch and was looking forward to being able to use OmniFocus when it arrives I couldnt be more disappointed in you for trying to force your loyal users into buying ANOTHER version of the app yet again I am DONE with Omni Group There are other option out there that care about their customers and not just their bottom line     Bad move by Omni Group again
20 buck for Apple Watch Support dealbreaker     20 buck for Apple Watch Support dealbreaker
This truly is the granddaddy of task management The new version allows more folks to access that power than in previous versions Some folks dont like change so ignore the one star reviews                 A powerful but accessible tool
I paid a lot of money for this app as well as the Mac version but now it seems like that is still not enough if I want to integrate my Apple Watch To top it off the Universal version doesnt even sync with my WebDAV server anymore a feature which used work just fine I would leave a bad review there too but Im not paying for an expensive product which Ive already purchased twice over Add Apple Watch support to the iPhone version     Unacceptable
I had always heard wonderful things about omnifocus and similar products so when I could finally afford to shell out 20 for the iPhone app then 40 for the iPad version I was so excited to finally start using it However I was livid when the next week omnifocus released a universal application that I could have gotten in a bundle and saved some money But I was yet again wrong bc in order to obtain the pro version which I had assumed I already had due to making the app purchase a few days prior But I was wrong yet again I cant believe they were asking for another 20 bucks to upgrade to the pro versioni am so furious because its absolutely not worth it and there are plenty of other applications that are better and cost a fraction of the priceIm sorry that doesnt seem like a lot of money to you guys but I just started a new business and have to watch every penny Shame on you     Highly disappointed
With the release of the Apple Watch OmniFocus 2 for iPhone users will have to PAY 20 complete my bundle if they want Apple Watch support This despite the fact that the Apple Watch requires an iPhone in order to use it This is the final straw for me I will no longer be purchasing anymore OmniFocus apps     NOOOOOOPE Not paying another 20
Really Come on Thats just pure greed     20 for Apple Watch
An update removed all perspectives except Changed and Completed I can no longer view everything that is either due or past view in a single list     What happened
These guys have a proven track record of obsoleting an app that can easily be updated and pumping out a new app to siphon more money from customers for nothing Im done with them     Deleted Play your money grab game with fewer users
In a class by itself reliable instant update cross platforms Watch app is great out of the gates thank you Updates are very reasonably priced pocket money for what has obviously taken much work to accomplish and is worth so much more The best                 My Go To
I love Omnifocus and use it every day Its a great system and Im leaving my previous review below Frustrating that some updates require me to spend an additional 40 on top of the 20 I originally paid 20 to complete my bundle to get Omnifocus for iOS and then another 20 for a pro upgrade I understand this isnt a cheapo 299 app and is being very well developed but 60 total feels like a lot for an iOS app previous review This is a perfect companion to the Mac version Its not a to do list app its a complete personal project management system You can make todo lists inside it to be sure but its a lot more than that Think of it as a list of lists with very powerful organization and review features built in              excellent software but steep upgrade costs
Still the best when you want a sophisticated tool to capture and manage the details of work and life They continuously and thoughtfully enhance and update it in nonsilly ways so not only does it keep up with improvements in iOS but it just keeps getting better as a management tool From an earlier review The software from the Omni Group is really pricey but I dont mind paying a lot for really good software thats powerful and easy to use                 Still a great tool and worth the cost
Its unfortunate that I have to be willing to pay an extra 39 every x amount of months to keep up with this app Used to be my go to and if youre a first time user it has a lot of excellent features However I feel like Ive been gouged enough times to take a step back and support a more respectable company     Unfortunate
Appears this is to be phased out and its just tough luck for some of the most dedicated earliest adopters As a longtime user of Omni products it is disappointing that the OmniGroup and their illustrious Mr Case fail to acknowledge their blunder on this one As a project lead and developer its fairly easy to recognize a fail here in terms of process management In this particular situation it would appear that mobileiOS development at Omni has clearly been trying to play catch up And unfortunately it has come at the expense of the end user Mobile is NOT new and varying media screen sizes didnt just arrive on the seen yesterday Both Apple and ARM ie 64bit arch release more than enough technical development information well in advance for developers to anticipate But also provided that the developers have tested agile processes correctly managed and in place their application releases do NOT require a complete rewrite of all code from the beginning This certainly should be the situation for established software development businesses as opposed to indie developers Established software businesses should not require their users to pay for every single revision of the product and certainly NOT at 35 times the cost of whats normal And should they decide to do business in such a manner they had better make sure their product is noticeably superior to its competitors The problem is that OmniFocus is NO longer such a product Yet the OmniGroups pride arrogance whatever it is regardless has gotten in the way The BLUNDER here involves a series of poor choices and moves on the part of OmniGroup including less than stellar anticipation and project management of a Universal iOS app that shouldve already been addressing various media screen sizes between iPhones and iPads well over 24 months ago And the simple fact is that they should NOT be asking users to pay any price for that let alone 20 However everyone should have confidence that the OmniGroup will demonstrate honor over greed and ultimately do the right thing and if they dont that will be their loss        Too Bad So Sad About Us
I use this every day all day Its been transformational The four star is because they dont open the API for other apps it doesnt integrate with the other Omni products Those features would bring this great tool to the next level Thanks Omni              Love it
I cant believe this I paid for the iPad l iPhone and Mac clients and now theyre charging for the watch version WHY The device is a companion to the iPhone Yet theyre charging for it Im done Not paying for it Ill be looking at my GTDing elsewhere now     Now this is highway robbery
Watch out this is a company that wants to milk its loyal customers Ive had enough moving on     Greedy
I like this app It works well and is a helpful tool for organizing tasks and projects However at 40 I expect to have the ability to sort my data the way I want Omnifocus gives you that enhanced functionality with their Pro version at an extra 20 That is not cool If people pay 40 much for an app double that if you want to have it for all your Mac and iOS devices just include the Pro features with the standard version Perhaps Excel has spoiled us but I expect sorting and other basic functionality in a standard version and not something at the Pro price point           Good App Too Expensive and You Need to Pay Extra for Standard Features
I dont get why I dont have an iWatch version They charge too much for upgrades     Terrible upgrade situation
A sincere thank you to the Omni group for making such amazing apps If you keep making them Ill keep buying them I realize that in the real world thingscost money Thats why Im a grownup                 Im a grownup I pay for things
Omni Group deserves all the accolades for its OmniFocus app for iPhone and Mac It is my goto app used many times each day There are other task to do app in this category but none of them can do what this app does Thank you Omni Group                 Overall beset Task To Do app
1 they Charge you for every major update I purchased the iPad app and they they came out with the another major update and I was going to have to pay full price again 2there are better looking and easier task managers There are certainly a out of features which can be nice However sometimes it makes your screen pretty cluttered 3 customer service I tried to write them about some questions and I never got a response That was when i decided to leave Most competitors get back to you in a day Maybe others have had different experiences Overall I have enjoyed apps like Todoist Nozbe and Winderlist much more        Not super impressed
Lets face it weve all been spoiled by the beautiful syncing of our mail reminders calendars and notes on iOS The OmniFocus desktop app is great and their mobile app has made progress but the current sync mechanism is unfortunately reminiscent of software from the early 2000s The desktop syncs automatically but mobile rarely does It usually involves opening the app and pressing the Sync button and waiting a moment for them to sync This may seem like only a small inconvenience but for the price they have a higher bar This sync issue becomes especially problematic when you choose to install the lock screen widget because any changes you make on the desktop do not sync to the lock screen Vice versa changes to the lock screen reflect in the mobile app but again require pressing the sync button Overall the app is good and I recommend it because there is no better GTD alternative but if they dont bring the mobile sync into line with modern mobile expectations soon I will have lost all faith in Omnigroup as a company           Poor mobile execution
This app is expensive but filled with features I use it daily between my iPhone iPad and MBP Syncing is reliable and the app has a great set of features This app is updated frequently                 Great app
Good app but completely inexcusable to charge an additional 20 for Watch app No other app does this              But
I have Omnifocus 2 for iPhone You have to buy the Universal Bundle to get Apple Watch support Why The iPad doesnt connect to the Apple Watch the phone does This is pure greed Im not giving this company another dollar Absolute garbage     Really PAID Apple Watch support
OmniGroup loves to stick it to its paying customers Wholly dissatisfied and deeply regret not using Things or another alternative     Basically hidden subscription fees
You guys are the absolute worst Glad I switched to Asana which is FREE way better and great for team work I highly recommend it we use Asana for our organization DO NOT buy Omnianything     The Worst Company EVER
I just spoke to one of the OmniGroup sales team reps who confirmed that though I have already purchased OmniFocus 2 for my Mac 40 and OmniFocus 2 for my iPhone 20 which is somewhat high to have 2 products to work together I would now have to pay 20 more in order to have the version of OmniFocus for my iPhone that supports my Apple Watch Having received an Apple Watch a week ago I was excited when I saw that OmniFocus had an Apple Watch companion app One would think that by purchasing the version of OmniFocus 2 for iPhone that since the Apple Watch syncs with the phone that this app would receive the benefit of an Apple Watch extension app However it appears that Omni has decided to make the iPad version which CANNOT sync to an Apple Watch and is now the Universal iOS for both iPad and iPhone app the only version to include the Apple Watch companion Are there many users of the iPad version benefitting from the Apple Watch companion They dont work together Only OmniFocus installed on an iPhone can do this Yet the version of OmniFocus 2 for the iPhone does not include the companion app ALL the other apps that I have that have an Apple Watch companion released updates free of charge to gain the Apple Watch feature Except Omni Omni should have either included the Apple Watch extension in both iOS versions giving OmniFocus 2 for iPhone users the added functionality or Omni should have offered redemption codes to existing users to get the new Universal version that includes the Apple Watch companion Giving me a discount to get the functionality when I dont need to install OmniFocus on an iPad is the same as telling me that I have to pay 20 to use the Apple Watch features No other developer has done this And it is appalling Especially considering Apple Watch apps are slow and there is no way to trial the product first At the end of the day this decision doesnt seem like anything more than a cash grab The Apple Watch companion exists and should have been added to the iPhone version Instead we get to see firsthand how Omni chooses to reward customer investment in their brand and products     Apple Watch RipOff Program CASH GRAB
OmniFocus for IPhone is easily a bestinclass app for GTD You can safely ignore complaints about pricing as the Omnigroup have always been upfront and most importantly fair in regards to app pricing Need a 99 list app There are plenty of those but none will hold a candle to what OmniFocus offers AlsoKen Case is one hunky dude nextstep                 1st Class GTD App
Sure you dont have monthly or annual fees but they will milk you out of every cent to ensure its more expensive than paying annually for other apps Im not gonna upgrade to the universal app because who knows what other ways they will find to squeeze you out of more cash     Milking Customers
2 versions of the same app on the store when you still charge for the one you wont put new features into Doesnt make sense Please bring review to this app           You guys screw up
