Love RSS Feeds? So do we RSS Feeds are a great way to follow updates on your favorite website. However, some sites set up their feeds to only show a portion of each entry, you know, ...
Simple yet packed with features Excellent also for offline reading Best feed reader I have found
since the update I cannot open it cannot open
Lots of customizability behind the minimalist style Excellent Features
This is by far the most amazing rss read app on the AppStore All aspects and detailed settings are taken care of Fully customizable and personal usable background refreshing ability cashing storage control sharing and saving and more I simply love it PS when customizing settings it was jamming a bit but you do settings once anyway Im on iPhone 5 Best Rssread on the AppStore
Best rss ever Much better than reeder which was my old one before google killed everything But I exported my old feeds out of reeder and into this and it works great And the fulltext is the best feature by far Works much better than readability ever did Awesome
I cannot believe that this app isnt showing up on the App Stores front page It literally does what so many other RSS apps fail to do and does it well There are also several features that lire pulls off that others dont even attempt Its fantastic and it just received a marvelous makeover When I first saw this app I practically dug it out of the ground in a search and when I read the first few lines of the description I couldnt believe that no one else had thought of it yet alone attempted it and moreover done such a great job solving a seemingly major shortcoming of every other RSS app truncated articles Genius Development has been onpoint updates have been consistently addressing issues and adding more useful features still I dont write many reviews but lire deserves way more attention Awesome app
Great app many options for reading aficionados and nice consistent updates to fix issues Love the recently added night mode and the full justify full screen text Updated from 1 to 4 stars GREAT and CLEAN reading app
Lire is far and away the best RSS reader in the iOS store Best RSS reader
Waiting for a embededd video support otherwise simply perfect Thumbs up Perfect offline RSS reader
i really like the new fast action thanks for voiceover support great app
Best reader out there and extremely fast customer support 5 well spent Fantastic app
Ive tried them all and each fails in some fundamental way where Lire doesnt Great gesture support continual development and killer offline sync Beats every other wellregarded reader app
Well done Excellent
I first became a Lire supporter because of its firstrate VoiceOver support All buttons are labeled and it is clear the developer is committed to excellence in VoiceOver implementation But Lire is for everyone It boasts Feedly syncing a default nonCloud interface many customizable options whose functions actually make sense a version history that shows genuine progress with every new release an emphasis on easy readability and outstanding developer support by email I like Lire so much that I have deleted all other RSS readers from my device A Winner of an App
The developer has a real commitment to accessibility I love this app
By far the best RSS reader Ive used It can however use just a few minor adjustments After getting fed up with just partial articles showing up in my feeds I went on the search to find a full RSS converter that didnt take long to convert my feeds In my search I found lire and it is infinitely better than any RSS converter can be Syncs with my Feedly account and instantly converts partial feeds to full feeds Admittedly this doesnt work on every site but thats due to how some sites format their articles making it difficult for the feed to be properly converted This issue happens with many converters so I do not count that as a fault against lire Regardless because of this feature I have found myself reading more articles than I had previously and subscribing to more feeds knowing that I can read them how I want to read them I would like to see just a few things added to the app to make it even better 01 A confirmation pop up before Delete all articles Due to a slip of my thumb I accidentally ended up deleting a few articles from the app when I intended to just mark them as read A Are you sure you want to delete Yes No pop up couldve prevented this 02 A way to mark articles unread when already reading them Sometimes I start to read an article only to see that its much longer than I have time to give it attention It would be much quicker and much more convenient and intuitive to mark it unread from within the article rather than backing out going to the Read section of the feed finding the article if its deep down the list and then long pressing on it to mark it unread 03 The ability to long press on links or linked images within the article and be able to copy the URL instead of having to go through the in app browser to do it These are the only things so far I wish would be included to make lire even better than it is now Other than that Im really glad I found this little app and hope for its continued improvement and development Excellent Full RSS Reader
Awesome app Works great with VoiceOver Awesome app Works great with VoiceOver
Was Hands down best rss app in the App Store Was Worth every cent Update article load times have slowed to a crawl Support site is shut down Dang This was the best
Theres so muc to love about this app the easeofuse quick customizability and voiceover support Excellent productivity tool
This is the best reader interface and the most frequently refined and updated app on my iPad Please fix parsing the NY Times Would love tags and Newsblur support Keeps getting better
Crashed at start app in iPhone 5s Crashed at start app in iPhone 5s
This app quickly became my 1 App It does what it says and it works unlike some other Reeder apps No reader or feedly account necessary Great app Looking forward to an update one day that allows you to add personal notes to an article when you save to pocket or Instapaper 1 App
I would avoid this It did import the opml file But it never finished the feed import even after an hour A mess
Fully supports Voice Over Great reader
Lire is indeed a great app that does what it claims to do that of being a clean and powerful RSSfeed reader No need to worry about going online to read the full article all is cleanly packaged for offline reading Good for picnickers busy people and some of us who are often out of network range One aspect I need to point out is its accessibility the developer seems to care so much about this that this app deserves all my five stars and wish there were more of them In the previous editions I once complained about crashes when using Voiceover The developer addressed this issue plus fixed one annoying bug that would not let you open the last feed in a list Finally I always use this app and placed it in my dock If ever I could mention one app that I could not do without then Lire is the one Keep up the good work especially paying atention to accessibility We support this app and thumbs up to LIRE Great app to keep you uptodate
This app crashes immediately upon opening every time The app working version is great and I use it constantly Please issue a fix soon Dont update yet
I wanted to love this version just like the last ones Was glad the app was finally universal But how in the heck did this app manage to end up being passed by you guys and by apple when it consistently crashes on multiple devices on start I would think this was just a me issue but literally every review for this version mentions it which leads me to believe someone was asleep at the wheel Please fix this soon so we can get back to using the Lire we know and love Shoddy
Otherwise a fine app As is it looks terrible Not optimized for 6 or 6 plus
I am a VoiceOver user want version App not working
Thanks for building an excellent app for reading news streams I hope in the future your might consider adding Twitter feeds as an option that way we can keep uptodate with all those sources as well The special features included for voiceover users are wonderful They make using this app even better My only other observation here that is slightly negative is this program would be well served by a name that means something more in the United States The term Lire to us means Italian currency Yet this is a news reader I dont get the connectionp Excellent overall and especially great for voiceover users
Why is everything so freakin small Accessibility options and yet the interface is micro sized Why when I go to paste an RSS feed it gives me a Fleksy ad TINY interface design Fleksy ads
After showing the splash screen crashes both on my iPhone and IPad Does not start
I like this app and I LOVE its interface I do admire this long list of options I have that are just there under the hood not making a mess No crashes it does what it says Smooth clean functional
This is my go to rss reader I really love the ability to get the full text of the articles That feature is great for when Im going to be in a nonWiFi area The VoiceOver support is also second to none and continues to imp Awesome
A good program made with love and attention Replaced Google Reader at my iPhone 4S Quite fast with many options and preferences Works stable with iOS 7 Author posts updates regularly and as I see all improvements make the program better and better The application meets my needs
No way to determine how far along the synching is Articles in subscriptions magically disappear but on other devices they are there Sync process is slowwwwwww Not impressed Buggy downgrade
best offline rss I have found unfortunately typing in your rss subscriptions manually is not very fun so 4 instead of 5 stars what about an XML or opml import feature great
Keep up the good work Can you make a notification widget I think that would be an excellent in app purchase I would pay for My God is this app beautiful
The best rss reader I love it so mutch
I was very frustrated with using RSS feeds until I found this app It is so cool to be able to read all the articles within the app without having to go out to external websites As a blind user I really appreciate the commitment by the developer to keep the app accessible with voiceover In some ways I think the Apple might even work better under voiceover that with the normal method of access there is one annoying thing about this app however If I am reading an article and then minimize the app I will not be taken back to the same article when I open the app again It seems to default the main screen most times after being launched from the app switcher The only annoying thing about the app that I can think of is this When you are reading an article and then minimize the app the article about to be loaded when you come back It seems to always default to the main screen Hopefully this will be addressed The developer is very good about providing Makes RSS enjoyable
Awesome app Just wish they would make the thumbnail photos bigger and add more fonts and themes The app is getting there
Lire is a oneofakind RSS app that makes my powerreading of articles an easy pleasant andimportantlycomprehensive experience I would go as far as to say that it has freed my life from the inconvenience of endlessly knocking around the web for articles Still there is room for improvement After a period of being backgrounded the app resets to the default menu but never picks up a previously opened article where it left off eg the way Instapaper does resulting in lost halfread articles Therefore I would advise the developer to aim in this sense for a somewhat Instapaperlike experience allowing the user to stay in the flow of reading at all times If my suggestion is implemented I will be happy to give Lire the fivestar rating it amply deserves Many thanks for this wonderfully useful app An Excellent RSS ReaderExcept That It Does Not Open Articles Where It Left Off
This new version crashes immediately after startup Tried removing the app and reinstalling but that didnt work Extremely disappointed Im using an iPhone 5s Unstable
Reinstalled still crashes New version crashes on start
Beatiful Fast Useful Finally Thanks WOW
I was looking for a RSS reader that would download full articles and not leave me hanging with click here to read 10 remaining paragraphs This one does it Best RSS app downloads full text
Hi I spend more time in this app then any other on my iPhone The best
fine app but instable wont work with 812
On my desktop its Read Kit But on my phone and iPad its been Lire for the last couple years Hands down I have purchased countless RSS Newsreader apps many I like a lot and I can only recommend three out of the literal dozens I have only two of those work on iPhone To be fair to all concerned Ill only say Lire is my number one choice of those top three And I am an RSS news junkie Big time Its primary benefit downloads the mornings feeds for allday if necessary offline reading No cellphone data bandwidth needed I also love its ability to parse feeds into a nice textonly format a lot like reading a paper Also there are a lot of optional customizability settings This thing will look and work the way you want it to And it works as a standalone or sync through Feedly or other services Finally and most important to me the developer is alive This app is alive I am seeing regular app updates every month or two which I believe is important bugs glitches and so on are a lot more likely to be caught and fixed in this app quickly which are also pretty rare at this point Seriously Lire is freakin awesome and worth more than what is being charged for it Built for road warriors
I love the fact that it immediately loads every article in the same plain text format I came from Feedly and although its also a great app after a while I got sick of clicking again to get into the full article Definitely worth the money Will become my daily driver Exactly what I was looking for
