I really want this app to work and be great but unfortunately it isn t Slow isn t even a good word Glacial it takes seconds to respond to any gesture on my mini I don t want to say this but I m just about ready to abandon this app and jepp charts in the process It s a matter of how much pain you want to accept Fix this jepp Fast         Unbelievably slow Pete the mooniac
The principles of the app are good but it crashes frequently and is slow Please invest some time to create a stable and reliable app Jeppesen         Good idea but frequent crashes Don Baroni
If there is one app that I need to run smoothly without crashing this is it The one app that I have that crashes and freezes is this one How has this app been approved It s dangerous when I am flying an approach and the program crashes and won t reopen This needs to be fixed ASAP Gulfstream Captain         Crashes JoeF985
Come on guys 76 of my battery in the last 24 hours and that s with app background refresh disabled This just keeps getting worse     Battery Suicide ProPilotSFO
Soooo your app is so bad and so slow and glitchy the fix is to prevent the users from using the overlay functions while zoomed out So basically your enroutes are less useful than a high school globe for planning purpose at least the globe WILL show you cities and terrain The app still takes forever to startup and oh why in the hell can t you figure out how to do an app update without not only wiping out the current trip I m on but also all of my saved trips as well For goodness sake sign a license agreement with Foreflight already and sit back and let them handle the app stuff     So this is what we ve gotten to Angry Dirty
Application is very weak and slow When you put a command it thinks couple of seconds sometimes needs reset when it s open for hours I rather use paper instead of this junk     Weak application Flying Arash
Running IOS 9 2 1 on an iPad Air II with 128g memory 75g available memory Very slow to open very slow to change screens Tried to look at new approach chart TEB QUIET Visual but software locks up every time Software acts like the very early releases several years ago not useable in the cockpit Problem seems to have started about a month ago Update removed the app and all data updated to iOS 9 3 1 did a cold reboot of the iPad installed fresh app from iTunes so far works great     Do Not Use Inflight update BuckiBoy5
I am a pilot of supar puma helicopter and i use this app in war time it was awesome                     The best application of flying Q7ss
This program is not functioning Jepp has taken a giant step backward and needs to get serous with this Lock ups and bugs are not acceptable with a software designed for cockpit use They priced us out of paper now they need to provide a functional software Regulatory people where are you     Needs Help Now CFIIME
Totally unusable Huge time lag between inputs and results Over 9 GB of avail memory w latest OS No apps running in background     Disappointed Horselover and horsebackrider
The app has downloaded the same 171 MB over and over but it never actually opens and works         Keeps downloading keeps freezing CatalinaKevin
Don t bother Unusable     Useless Indutrad
What a shame     Stop working Mahleeee
So slow it is completely unusable Please Jeppesen we need a fix quickly     Unusable LHF968
With the new update performance is horrendous The latency between touch inputs and app responses is extremely sluggish I could never use this in cockpit as I can t wait 30 seconds for a plate to load Foreflight even with the NOS charts is still the gold standard That app has never crashed or stopped responding on me yet It doesn t seem Jeppesen has put a lot of effort into this app although they might feel differently     it s a dog TorreyB
Had a rough time with the previous version continually freezing So far this version is working fine at home Fingers are crossed until airborne             Optimistic Jn5678
After updating to the new version and had too many difficulties already he walked slowly Takes too long to start freezes it closes They should do a better job because resources are for it It s a shame that Jeppesen app is so bad     Is not a professional app FD Jeppesen can do better app
If you already have a pervious version of JeppFD DO NOT UPGRADE to this version Slows to the point of being almost non functional and I have a brand new iPad     Painful Cronerbc
If I had a choice to use a different charting provider I d do it This app makes the fastest iPad run slow as molasses The problem is only with this app The lag between selecting an option map feature chart before the iPad responds is very noticeable I am running an iPad Air 2 I thought upgrading from an iPad 3 to the air 2 would solve the problem It doesn t even when ensuring there are no other apps in the task switcher Every update to this app runs slower and slower I wish I didn t have to update but the FAA requir s updating to the latest version There must be some sort of kickback between jeppesen and apple because you need the latest iPad to get crappy performance from this app Don t even bother trying to look at the weather with this app It causes crashing all the time All other apps I have on the iPad Air 2 run smoothly and without any problems     Slow buggy app Crashes all the time Steve 3456
Every time I open the app the app asks me to accept the Terms and Conditions before I can do anything else This is very discerning when I am trying to get airport information before we start our descent into the airport environment I also agree with others that it takes forever to even load I am sick of seeing that loading circle everytime I need information The other problem is that it erases all of my information that I input into the flight plan section of the app So when I go to check waypoints or I need flight plan information when I reopen the app the flight plan info airports routs waypoints are gone Dear Jepp I hope you are reading these feedbacks from your loyal customers who are paying a very pretty penny for your service This app has a long way to go especially since it is used extensively in a professional atmosphere The problems people are having increases workload in the flight deck when it does not need to be that way     Keeps asking to accept Terms Conditions B3thomso
Jepp FD is at its worse It takes too long to open When It does finally open and i select a chart and I have to switch apps the chart i selected is not there anymore so i have to re select it Jepp should have never got rid of the TC app     Useless app Softballcutie2755
Completely useless program unless you need your battery drained really quickly     Zero stars tunneljunkie
This 2 7 update is a mess FD has always loaded slow This version takes twice as long to load up and go Often it will shut down before finishing loading or it will shut down when selecting Map mode This is not good Once it is loaded and you think it is ready to use you have to wait even longer before it will begin to respond to taps If you are impatient and do multi taps on a single icon it eventually will respond to every tap made before actually functioning I have two iPad minis in the cockpit At one time today they both hung up while trying to edit a route It took 10 minutes for them to recover to usefulness This isn t good in the cockpit I d like to go back to the previous version         I thought updates were supposed to make things better Flier4Him
The latest update has not worked since we ve downloaded it which wiped out everything After two days of downloading and going back and reconfiguring everything to pre update configuration the app continues to run some sort of download process continuously I have a brand new IPad Mini it has drained the battery 6 in less than 15min No Bluetooth running no other apps running I was told there are no other reports of this except for my two and the one actually belonging to a tech support person AT JEPPESEN I was pretty much told too bad Absolutely terrible support This app is essentially useless in a professional environment as it is now     2 7 update drains iPad at alarming rate Jetjouster
Latest update wiped out the data requires a full re download That is not cool My app already updated itself so all my data is gone gone gone Imagine if I didn t look at this until tomorrow am I have 7 hours of flying beginning with a 6 30a departure from home Jeppesen what are you thinking     Surprise 20WJ
I have discontinued using this app along with all Jeppesen products I fly in the Middle East and have twice purchased and downloaded a Trip Kit from Jeppesen which covered the area I currently fly Shortly after the charts expired Jeppesen put out an app update which entirely erased my Trip Kit I called and spoke with a sales representative for Jeppesen who indicated that unfortunately this is what happens when an update is loaded and there was nothing that could be done except to purchase another kit After losing the second Trip Kit I have completely done away with Jeppesen and now get charts from the countries AIP It was slow to download and a very poor representation of a fine product I now use Foreflight where I can in the Middle East and piece together information from other sources to make it work Your app is doing more damage to your company than you apparently know or you would have done something about these complaints     Sorry Jonkir
Let me start by saying I love Jepp charts as a professional pilot there isn t anything better I ve been using Jepp charts for a long time However ever since switching to a paperless cockpit Jepp has disappointed me They don t listen to the consumer and in that regard Foreflight is HEADs and TAILs above and beyond with their product The ease of entering routes in foreflight is just ONE of the things Jepp could learn from them I honestly could say so much here but seeing an average of 1 5 stars out of 5 on the reviews should say something We pay a lot of money for this program and have for many many years I honestly think that is about to change The latest issue I have is I ve updated to iOS 9 0 2 and the app crashes Whoever Jepp thinks love this product they are sorely mistaken Captain Lear 45         SHOULD be MUCH better JR_1824
Now iOS 9 0 2 and still a failure as an app let alone something we pilots pay dearly to subscribe to depend on for flight planning It continually frustrates me and won t update For all you present yourself to be Jepp disappointed would be a gross understatement         Still a failure Pilot511B
The app will not operate when the internet connection is disabled for the aircraft below 10 000 The only work around is to turn your wifi signal off and then re open the app Otherwise everything works nearly flawless I can t understand how this glitch hasn t been corrected for so long It is a tedious process to turn it on in order to use the weather capabilities and then turn it back off again when you need to use the charts Because this is often done during the approach phase it can make for unsafe conditions when flight performance is most critical         Glitch when connected to wifi without Internet connection Passenger1221
The purpose of this review is not to bash Jeppesen or the people working there Rather it to hopefully inspire a better product and to warn people to stay away if you have a choice until it gets better I am required to use this app for work So I really want it to be better however I am actively working to change our ops specs so we don t need to use this app I swung by the booth at Oshkosh this week Told them I hated it I was told that they work with 1200 pilots and the love it I don t know what 1200 pilots they re talking to but 100 of the pilots I work with hate it and everyone that has reviewed it apparently hates it So Jeppesen please fix this app There s too much wrong with it to go into detail However here are a couple small suggestions to start fixing a mountain of problems When the former destination gets put in the que box thing It d be nice to be able to quickly get rid of everything in that box Right now if you hold delete it won t delete more than one fix at a time Which leaves me tapping the delete button many times In the en route portion when you move the position on the map Everything that is not on the screen at the time doesn t show until you you let go It would be way better if you could just slide your finger and the map moves in proportion to that instead of stopping as far as your finger can swipe Hopefully these suggestions make sense but they are just two suggestions for what needs a complete overhaul     Dear Jeppesen this app is horrible please fix it Mc hammer 77777
Whenever a new update is available it will download a 50 60 mb very slowly and then keep giving the poor network network connection retrying message Have to keep closing and then reopening the app to get it to resume the download Make sure you budget a good hour to babysit the app when you re trying to update For the amount you pay for the subscription there should be flawless performance IPad mini 3 with iOS 8 2     Terribly slow Rediputs
Subscription is too expensive for the quality of maps we get Only benefit of getting Jeppesen charts is Global mapping Otherwise Foreflight is the way to go Major updates are required for this app iPhone capabilities should be implemented     Wow ERpilot
Sloppy     CRAP Yuditra
Good thing I have this app working on my iPad 2 Just got an iPad 3 air and after loading the app I noticed when I went to put my username in first the keyboard was missing the key that does caps or lowercase I couldn t even get into the app I have IOS version 8 3 Please fix this soon or everyone who buys a new iPad will have problems     Keyboard problem Davethepilot
This app should work flawlessly for how much a subscription costs Doesn t work on iOS 8 2 It won t complete the download of the charts If Jeppesen management is reading these reviews you should consider making a deal with Foreflight to offer your charts as a subscription in their app It s just annoying when apps don t work and you don t get the impression that it s it s being fixed Come on Jeppesen your better than this     Doesn t work davidcowart
This app is awful Do not waste your time with it The developer must not have a clue     Zero stars Jellisjr
So slow not only sums up the app but also Jeppesen They are slow to keep up with all the other aviation apps So Jeppesen where are the VFR maps and how about an Airport Facility Directory Would it hurt to load some relevant phone numbers     So slow Useful Search Engine
Approach plates load slow Problems with accessing saved flight plans The app will not respond when attempting to load flight plans Works okay with iOS 8 The remainder of the features work well             Far from perfect Flmupdt3
The app crashes on launch repeatedly Takes two or three attempts to get it to work on an iPad 2 I was hopeful like the other poster that this latest update would solve the issues with iOS 8 but as near as I can tell it s done nothing to resolve the most obvious flaws Resuming Flight Deck takes forever like it did before Recently going into TEB the whole app completely locked up at the worst time they switched runways on us Anyone that goes in there on a regular basis knows what a cluster that can be when the weather deteriorates My FO prefers ForeFlight so he happened to have it up on his personal iPad which saved us I had to submit yet another internal Occurrence Report for our SMS system because ForeFlight isn t approved in our OpsSpecs but I imagine it will be soon if Jepp doesn t get their act together and stop releasing garbage EDIT Spoke to technical support at Jepp and their claiming the iPad 2 doesn t have enough memory and that we need to upgrade our iPads 30 planes x 2 iPads per plane that s not going to happen anytime soon More likely we re going to switch to ForeFlight which works just fine on the iPad 2 It s absurd that they re suggesting the iPad 2 is no longer capable since Jepp Mobile FD was actually quite descent when it was initially released Not perfect but at least it was useable And in reality the only thing this is is an e reader It s pretty obvious is problem is not the iPad 2 but rookie shoddy sub par programming by the app developers     Zero Stars Iron Beagle
The latest update claims improvements in compatibility with iOS 8 It still won t update charts or manuals even after resetting and uninstalling the app then reinstalling It updates enroute data but the app forces you to stay on the update screen It has zero practical functionality     Still not working on iOS 8 Zero Stars Joe4USMC
I have to use this app per company policy It s slow crashes and won t update What a waste of one of the most respectful names in the industry     The worst aviation app framal
BEWARE Under details for this update it says that it is compatible with iOS6 When trying to install I then received a notice that it requires iOS7 and I cancelled install However in the meantime it ruined the install of the previously well functioning app on my iPad will no longer open Jeppesen s only support was that I have to update my entire iOS which I cannot do No option to reinstall earlier version Terrible Jeppesen support canceling my subscription     Former Jepp Customer b rockwell
I m actually a big fan of Jeppesen and the great people who work there This update though isn t good the app crashes the first time you open it and it operates extremely slowly I m running an iPad 2 which I know is dated yet many pilots that I know also use the iPad 2 as their airplane iPad I hope the folks at Jepp can get these issues squared away to make the app functional again     Crashes and extremely slow BP407
You must be aware of all the numerous issues with 2 6 0 it has been out over 3 months now Your support of this app is laughable     What s the problem Jeppesen HanoverGV
Horrible app Every time I open the app it hangs It has dumped my charts two times since the last update don t try to update right before flight or you ll be without charts Why did they just release the iOS 7 update a month before iOS 8 came out Jepp is so far behind the other charting apps it is sad     Horrible Lost without charts
I am very disappointed with such a slow response to updating their apps for iOS 8 Not to mention the extremely poor customer support It feels as if Jeppessen has now grown to a size where customer service and product quality has fallen off a cliff When the app works it is average at best Other similar apps do a much better job with updates color graphics etc This is such a disappointment since I ve grown to love the format of their charts and plates My advice is try another service until Jeppessen gets their act together which by the looks of it isn t any time soon Just take a look at their support page to see how difficult it is to submit a problem     Caution to anyone considering or using this app Surfhunter
The app still crashes anytime you have the iPad connected to a WiFi signal that is not transmitting data This happens every flight on the descent in my airplane as it is equipped with Aircell WiFi The app crashes unless you remember to deselect WiFi at the right time It s embarrassingly amateurish     Still crashes with bad WiFi Need to start over
App won t start with iOS 8 Keeps crashing upon startup Please fix     iOS 8 problem Klabe-Dawg
Update 260 I gave this app 5 stars but I wish I could have given it 10 stars If youre an airline or corporate charter pilot then youll want to know this update finally gives you the features youve been waiting for For instance the ability to enter jet routes and victor airways SIDs and STARs by just their identifiers This feature is very useful for saving time and not having to key in each fix or waypoint manually It works the way your FMS does Combine that ease of use with lets say a SID and the NEXRAD feature and youll have a good topographical avoidance tool for climb out Once youve entered your routing you can also save it Saving the flight route not only saves routing but also keeps in memory the plates youve check marked If one pilot in a twopilot crew has already constructed the route for a flight this update comes with a convenient SHARE feature that allows you to beam the flight routing from one iPad to the other BRILLIANT The new IOS 7 design feels and looks great Im surprised by the other reviewers comments stating that it feels clunky and it consumes a lot of space I run the app on an iPad Mini Retina IOS 712 and performance is smooth I think that this type of app is informationintensive and that the developers that created it did an excellent job with the screen realestate they were allotted The layout flows with an intuitive feel Im never asking myself Now how do I do that The information I need always feels one touch away Did I mention Echo Tops This feature will work great for pilots that dont know the bug trick                 DELIVERED
Sloppy     CRAP
My flight dept just switched over to this from jepp paper plates after using foreflight for years I have to say this was a big let down foreflight definitely trumps all other flight apps in my opinion     Disappointed

The app crashes on launch repeatedly Takes two or three attempts to get it to work on an iPad 2 I was hopeful like the other poster that this latest update would solve the issues with iOS 8 but as near as I can tell its done nothing to resolve the most obvious flaws Resuming Flight Deck takes forever like it did before Recently going into TEB the whole app completely locked up at the worst time they switched runways on us Anyone that goes in there on a regular basis knows what a cluster that can be when the weather deteriorates My FO prefers ForeFlight so he happened to have it up on his personal iPad which saved us I had to submit yet another internal Occurrence Report for our SMS system because ForeFlight isnt approved in our OpsSpecs but I imagine it will be soon if Jepp doesnt get their act together and stop releasing garbage EDIT Spoke to technical support at Jepp and their claiming the iPad 2 doesnt have enough memory and that we need to upgrade our iPads 30 planes x 2 iPads per plane thats not going to happen anytime soon More likely were going to switch to ForeFlight which works just fine on the iPad 2 Its absurd that theyre suggesting the iPad 2 is no longer capable since Jepp Mobile FD was actually quite descent when it was initially released Not perfect but at least it was useable And in reality the only thing this is is an ereader Its pretty obvious is problem is not the iPad 2 but rookie shoddy subpar programming by the app developers     Zero Stars
They put some useful new features like the ability to add airways STARs and SIDs to the flight plan The drawback is that they made it slow in the previous versions loading a saved flight plan did not take the ridiculous amount of time it takes now Also I personally liked better the black theme It is still a great app my favorite for instrument flight but I will give it 2 stars hoping they fix what was already fixed on previous versions        They made it slow
The Resuming Flite Deck message that pops up every time you return to the app is downright dangerous This app is supposed to replace paper charts Paper charts dont pause and disappear when you flip to them As expensive as a Jepp data subscription is the app should work way better than this It should work at least as well as the version it replaced but it falls far short of that If you read this before upgrading just say no to 260     Jepp broke what didnt need fixing
Captain it is time to forge a deal to sell your data through ForeFlight They have developers who have the ability to use that data in a safe and effective manner presenting it reliably during all phases of flight YOU DO NOT Just think of the enormous sums of money you could save by not paying what appear to be unearned salaries or more appropriately stipends in support of negligent behavior Shame on you for putting out such a product and shame on our regulatory authorities for standing idly by while you endanger the lives of the traveling public with this buggy and unreliable piece of refuse Were it not for your monopoly on navigation data for areas other than the US and Canada I wouldnt even be writing this review because youd be only the distant memory of an archaic system of aeronautical charting which had been relegated to the some dark corner of a dank moldy basement Too bad zero stars isnt an option because even at that my rating would be overly generous     Epic Fail
This app is awful Do not waste your time with it The developer must not have a clue     Zero stars
After the 26 update today the performance for the chart viewer has become unacceptable Chart movement is very choppy when scrolling and zooming even the search function has become unresponsive at times It was not this slow and clunky in the last version and this needs to be fixed ASAP     26 is a performance killer
Slow slow slow Locks up consistently Reverts to airport in first slot for no reason Not user friendly Maps are not representative of Jep enroute charts Other vendors do a better job Jep techs need to go on a flight Enroute charts are unusable     Jep FD
Very good apps and very good to check your route before flight I would recommend to add two things if possible Boxes for frequency same as printed en route charts Also to have an option to add your en route diversions and mark them with different colour so you can have an idea where they located from your route Very good apps 55                 Nice app
This product is a huge let down Ive always been a fan of Jeppesen plates In 2006 I stopped using Jeppesen in favor of NACO TERPs for price alone With the advent of Foreflight Ive seen electronic navigation data go from slightly useful to outright essential with ADSB FBO info user friendly flight planning I started using Jepps again this last year as a company requirement to teach with these I was severely disappointed with the app quality despite the wonderful plates Enroute charts are grainy clunky and severely lacking the detail that paper charts readily give Jeppesen needs to get out of this business to focus on what they do best database NAV and sell product rights to a more established provider of EFBs This app is simply too subpar        Good plates bad App
This new update is horrible The app ran slow before now it is even worse Resuming Flightdeck takes entirely too long This occurs every time you resume the app This new update is also more likely to freeze and shut down the app completely Restart times are very long Jeppesen you should be ashamed at pushing this new update without appropriately bench testing it first Considering the price of this app there is no excuse for this     Horrible Update
I am here grounded In South America when I tried to update to the newest data Waiting to update to the latest update Internet connection here are slow and intermittent but the updates of this version take much more than usual Managed to to update the terminal charts and navigations charts what I need to be legal but since the manuals are not up to date the app does not open I recommend highly not to update to this version until the bugs are fixed New characteristics of this version sounds nice but what a drawback Jeppesen did with the rest     Dangerous
New version starts to update slowly gets so far and stops complaining about poor network connectivity Connectivity is fine for other apps Attempted to run Speedtest to verify and realized Mobile FD had corrupted the iPad network stack Had to restart the iPad Tried all this several times same result     BROKEN again
Jeppesen should be ashamed of this application slow says the manuals arent current but wont let you update them clunky interface annoying tool bars that take up way too much screen especially on a mini Do they even test this or have actual aviation people provide input from the app It feels like they just contract the development out to coders from a third world country that know nothing about what the app is intended for The worst part is that it will probably be months before any hope of an update is released based on Jeppesens indifference to customer feedback and resources that they put into the app     Total garbage
The app still crashes anytime you have the iPad connected to a WiFi signal that is not transmitting data This happens every flight on the descent in my airplane as it is equipped with Aircell WiFi The app crashes unless you remember to deselect WiFi at the right time Its embarrassingly amateurish     Still crashes with bad WiFi
This app will not launch Downloading data hangs     Does not load App does not function Fail
We use FD on our iPad minis on our G550 as a backup or to augment our display unit charts and its the most unstable app I have ever seen Normal mode is locking up andor crashing Attempts to restart app reboot iPad turn onoff airplane mode disabling ownship position turn onoff wifi all occasionally effective This is the ONLY app we use that crashes MORE than functions properly AND its the most critical If we have a failure and are flying on batteries and I cant even use this app to land safely then what Accident waiting to happen We pay Jeppesen tens of thousands of a year and they cant even build a stable app The FAA needs to shut this down     Crashes more than functions properly Dangerous
Whenever a new update is available it will download a 5060 mb very slowly and then keep giving the poor network network connection retrying message Have to keep closing and then reopening the app to get it to resume the download Make sure you budget a good hour to babysit the app when youre trying to update For the amount you pay for the subscription there should be flawless performance IPad mini 3 with iOS 82     Terribly slow
I dont know what happened with Apples quality control and quality assurance because if they compared the old version of this app to this new one Im sure they would have not approved it for distribution All I know is that Jeppesen has really screwed up a perfectly functional app with this glitchy slow defective and buggy new and improved app To start off Id like to alert other users to avoid upgrading your mobile flight deck with this garbage at all cost This new app is extremely slow to open its extremely slow to multi task with its extremely slow to update its database maps and manuals and its extremely slow to open your previously stored flights The new map looks like crap Now you can only see the airway name if you zoom in very close to the ground Jepessen please fix this app once and for all Updating the apps database is absurdely slow and it never completes the update even on a 30Mbps cable connection I want the old app back     This app is crap
So slow not only sums up the app but also Jeppesen They are slow to keep up with all the other aviation apps So Jeppesen where are the VFR maps and how about an Airport Facility Directory Would it hurt to load some relevant phone numbers     So slow
Approach plates load slow Problems with accessing saved flight plans The app will not respond when attempting to load flight plans Works okay with iOS 8 The remainder of the features work well           Far from perfect
What a crappy app this is now the interface looks nice but its not usable especially in a bright cockpit with ur sunglasses on Wx is totally useless now the lightning data has no time stamp and rarely loads Takes lots of button hitting to get it to display We use this on iPad mini and its really slow now and hangs a lot also the weather will just download and shut off Updates are huge and slow and unlike the old version where u could stop it mid download you can no longer do this     Total crap do not update u have been warned
The app will not operate when the internet connection is disabled for the aircraft below 10000 The only work around is to turn your wifi signal off and then reopen the app Otherwise everything works nearly flawless I cant understand how this glitch hasnt been corrected for so long It is a tedious process to turn it on in order to use the weather capabilities and then turn it back off again when you need to use the charts Because this is often done during the approach phase it can make for unsafe conditions when flight performance is most critical        Glitch when connected to wifi without Internet connection
about developing this app This app to furnished to me by my company and I pay for Foreflight out of my own pocket There is no comparison between the two JFD is slow crashes regularly and is bereft of features Seriously No bells and whistles The ONLY thing it has going for it is the actual Jeppesen plates and charts and the fact that the plates are displayed as vector graphics vs scans Anything else Weather depiction FBO information user reviews etc Jepp is soundly beaten by Foreflight or doesnt even attempt The app beats doing Jepp revisions by hand Ill give it that too Seriously JeppBoeing Hire some developers to improve your product or license your data to Foreflight     Jeppesen is not serious
I like jepp chartsbut really you guys should just give up and call the guys at foreflight for help     I was hopeful
I have to use this app per company policy Its slow crashes and wont update What a waste of one of the most respectful names in the industry     The worst aviation app
Great operational improvements such as the possibility to add lateral profile from SIDSTAR on enroute and the capability of support VORDME keys when you fill a flight plan But I felt app performance decrease on my iPad4 Jeppfd should be able to determine the position radialbearingdistance from a navaid like flitestar Fly Safe              Great but need more improvements
Has anyone been able to get route sharing to work The app just says there are no BTdevices around there are Update Jul 2014 The app continues to make progress but still suffers from slow performance on a 3rd gen iPad Data downloads are huge and can take quite a while even on a fast broadband network Ive had a couple of instances where the app came up refusing to display charts requiring deactivation then reactivating and downloading the entire content for all data This happened once right before leaving on an intl flight Update Mar 2012 I can no longer download updates The app crashes at the very end of a long download process Very frustrating Please fix ASAP Update Feb 2012 subsequent versions have become more useable and functional However after installing iOS 51 the app locks up when attempting to download data updates When I first downloaded this app it wasnt clear to me that this new app actually includes the terminal chart function from JeppsenTC You will need to release your site key from the previous app or use another available key from your allocation The screen becomes quite cluttered in some of the zoom modes but looks great once you find the right level Maybe a zoom lock feature would be useful at times I would be happier if the scrolling were a bit smoother It might work better on an ipad 2 mines just a 1 To be truly useful the routing issue needs to be addressed it declares that fixes displayed right in front of you are invalid I havent been able to test the present position feature yet           A good start
App crashed in iOS 612     Crash
The latest update claims improvements in compatibility with iOS 8 It still wont update charts or manuals even after resetting and uninstalling the app then reinstalling It updates enroute data but the app forces you to stay on the update screen It has zero practical functionality     Still not working on iOS 8 Zero Stars
You must be aware of all the numerous issues with 260 it has been out over 3 months now Your support of this app is laughable     Whats the problem Jeppesen
Jeppesen should just go back to making paper charts since they cant make a computer program that works on ANY platform Please make sure you have days available for each update since youll have to delete the app reinstall it then download all the data again every time     Zero stars
BEWARE Under details for this update it says that it is compatible with iOS6 When trying to install I then received a notice that it requires iOS7 and I cancelled install However in the meantime it ruined the install of the previously wellfunctioning app on my iPad will no longer open Jeppesens only support was that I have to update my entire iOS which I cannot do No option to reinstall earlier version Terrible Jeppesen support canceling my subscription     Former Jepp Customer
Unfortunately this update causes the initial resuming flight deck to be painfully slow when loading up the app every time Especially when trying to use in the cockpit immediately Bug issues where I push the settings button only to have it appear 1 second and disappear the next And repeat They really did no user testing when they pushed this update Very slow and not much fun to use in the cockpit I find myself trying to work around the bugs when I should be focusing more on flying the airplane Shame I pay for this     Buggy Update
Im actually a big fan of Jeppesen and the great people who work there This update though isnt good the app crashes the first time you open it and it operates extremely slowly Im running an iPad 2 which I know is dated yet many pilots that I know also use the iPad 2 as their airplane iPad I hope the folks at Jepp can get these issues squared away to make the app functional again     Crashes and extremely slow
Subscription is too expensive for the quality of maps we get Only benefit of getting Jeppesen charts is Global mapping Otherwise Foreflight is the way to go Major updates are required for this app iPhone capabilities should be implemented     Wow
Since the latest update my JeppFD has been a pain the the b At least 60 seconds to open the app every time App full of bugs Nothing is easy Makes it virtually useless Not good when you are clearing the runway and need to see your airport diagram but it wont come up After the flight I decided to uninstall and reinstall the app Takes about 15 minutes to install but all is well now     Reinstall if update was bad
The only reason to get this app is the foreign overseas approach plates Flight planning is worthless     Disappointing
Good thing I have this app working on my iPad 2 Just got an iPad 3 air and after loading the app I noticed when I went to put my username in first the keyboard was missing the key that does caps or lowercase I couldnt even get into the app I have IOS version 83 Please fix this soon or everyone who buys a new iPad will have problems     Keyboard problem
The purpose of this review is not to bash Jeppesen or the people working thereRather it to hopefully inspire a better product and to warn people to stay away if you have a choice until it gets better I am required to use this app for work So I really want it to be better however I am actively working to change our ops specs so we dont need to use this app I swung by the booth at Oshkosh this week Told them I hated it I was told that they work with 1200 pilots and the love it I dont know what 1200 pilots theyre talking to but 100 of the pilots I work with hate it and everyone that has reviewed it apparently hates it So Jeppesen please fix this app Theres too much wrong with it to go into detail However here are a couple small suggestions to start fixing a mountain of problems When the former destination gets put in the que box thing Itd be nice to be able to quickly get rid of everything in that box Right now if you hold delete it wont delete more than one fix at a time Which leaves me tapping the delete button many times In the en route portion when you move the position on the map Everything that is not on the screen at the time doesnt show until you you let go It would be way better if you could just slide your finger and the map moves in proportion to that instead of stopping as far as your finger can swipe Hopefully these suggestions make sense but they are just two suggestions for what needs a complete overhaul     Dear Jeppesen this app is horrible please fix it
It consumes a lot of space you must find out how to make it more space efficient Everithing else including the graphic update is awesome              Great app but
This app should work flawlessly for how much a subscription costs Doesnt work on iOS 82 It wont complete the download of the charts If Jeppesen management is reading these reviews you should consider making a deal with Foreflight to offer your charts as a subscription in their app Its just annoying when apps dont work and you dont get the impression that its its being fixed Come on Jeppesen your better than this     Doesnt work
Keeps crashing every time     Need to fe Fix
Wont load Crashes Total crap     Junk crap crash worthless wont load
I echo many other reviewers Jepp data presentation is excellent the App falls so far short of Foreflight at best Its dangerously unstable delicate Enabling NEXRAD crashes the App if Airspace is disabled in the encounter chart for example Id pay both Jepp Foreflight for a combined product     Great Data lousy app
