App is not working right at all Is there another app as this one is outdated     What s Wrong Sea2fish
This app is an excellent one stop resource for somebody going through their first hurricane or if they haven t gone through one for several years and need a quick reference or starting place It has information for before during after and Plan Ahead of a hurricane Spot on advice about knowing the diff between watches and warnings don t waste time taping windows and even lists for suggested supplies If used with Storm Radar and the Weather Channel s app you ll be a lot safer and more knowledgeable about hurricane preparedness and safety as well as getting important information at the literal tip of your finger One thing I d really like to see is addition of information for actually boarding up when preparing The most informative resource I found for boarding up once the news suggested we should was found after a long time searching online no thanks to bad information out there A lot of time which is essential before a hurricane was wasted searching and searching What I did fine was poorly linked to on NOAA s site and even then seemed to go down or be deleted when I went back to reference it Please add information on boarding as part of your information Please Nothing super detailed Just the suggested plywood thickness what kind of sheet metals would do well as a substitute how to attach it to your home what kind of screws for what kind of surface etc Actually in general please elaborate or expand on information that may not be expected to be a given to people who have already been through hurricanes I remember my first time being in the crosshairs of a hurricane and finding detailed and explained information was hard there s so much out there and a lot of it bad Everybody has short simplified lists but no details Sometimes more than one sentence is needed to explain things Other than being able to hide shelters locations on the map temporarily to better see the radar or map and adding more explanations or even videos to show a how to would be handy for boarding I used this app as one of my hurricane go to apps This for information and some alerts I also used Storm Radar for the radar alerts detailed official warnings and map that could show all kinds of warnings alerts and various details on the radar map The official Weather Channel app for live tv feeds for in person updates and meteorologist s opinions on what to expect Between this app Storm Radar and the live feed from the official Weather Channel app hurricane Irma didn t catch my unprepared and didn t give me any nasty surprises I was certainly safer and I truly appreciate apps like this exist THANK YOU from a Floridian who used this app as part of their emergency kit                     Great resource Used during hurricane Irma AppAddictNinja
This is pretty much a useless app to track a hurricane Need to be able to filter shelter information I e remove filter by location etc     Puzzled Picky CPA
Doesn t do anything but show a map No tracking no anything Waste of time Hurricane Irma is devastating Florida right now and according to this app there s not a hurricane in sight Pass this app by     Horrible Wikwak
We are in northeast Florida and grew tired of listening to the dramatic news coverage of hurricane Irma however we needed to stay updated Enter the Red Cross Hurricane app This app is AMAZING Gives you up to date information in real time faster than our local new stations and provides alerts to your area It has been extremely helpful for us to be able to track Hurricane Irma and other weather alerts Added bonus we actually learned a lot of useful information as well We love the Red Cross it s nice to see they have such a great app as well The interface is great The app is easy to navigate and is just what we needed                     Great app By a wonderful organization oceanblue1118
Used the app to trace Irma The app is about 4 hours behind the true eye position Nice grafics but needs to be live     Too fat Rhonda andhow91
Enough of what I need thanks RedCross edit the tracking update is like 2 3 hrs late then actual radar             Nice and simple but late report Maura Carolina
Downloaded this app to help with tracking Irma and getting more information But I ve found that apparently there s no way to track the actual hurricane When you tap the tracking section it brings you to a list of shelters Not hurricane tracking And worst of all we had a Tornado warning for a half hour Brevard County All my other weather apps and the TV notified me This one didn t but I didn t think anything of it because it s a new app and I didn t know if it would but wouldn t you know The tornado warning ends at 9 30am then at 9 36am I hear a classic tornado siren coming from my iPad and my light is flashing The warning came five minutes after the half hour warning ended If this was my only app and the tornado was bearing down on me I would likely be screwed     WARNING Possibly deadly Cpt_Knobblesworth
This is the only app that is user friendly I can monitor the locations of my friends and family throughout FL during the hurricane                     Love this app ktothehill
Love it                     Great app Lukemcva
Do not trust these guys Regarding the app and real life     Fraudulent GshdkshajdmsHdkrnxn
Keeps us inform                     Thank you letusknow
I have 1 place selected my home town and I am being forced to see alerts for every flipping county in Florida and some outside of Florida I can find no way to limit alerts to my one selected place     Great app ruined by lack of customization Elisande
It would be nice if one was allowed to filter shelters in FL to either be shown or not shown Very cluttered and seemingly they are always shown                 Hurricane App dadafur
If you want to stay safe don t use this app Total crap     Stay safe lostinthot
Sends way too many of the same notifications over and over again Alerts me for places I deleted     Horrible LKarleighC
It seems like a very charming app that is very useful to keep you and your loved ones safe                     It s Charming Annalyn Chase
Just took the update and now it does not track hurricanes You downgraded your app Real good job Waste     What hurricane tracker Doug251
Doesn t even track hurricanes Only good for finding shelters and preparing For Live info about any storms find another app because this one doesn t do jack     Horrible Billweb143
With Hurricane Irma bearing down on Savannah no alerts show in the app except for the ones from Hurricane Matthew from last year Seriously I m deleting the app It is a waste of memory     Poor updates Jayce54321
Although this app may not satisfy needs for all people living in hurricaneprone areas it is perfect for us in Alabama It is concise easy to use and meets our needs Well done ARC                 Outstanding
The app is crashing                 Crashing
This app has ongoing issues Doesnt retain location information on iPad or iPhone Ive been dealing with the same problems for some time now Happens with the tornado app hurricane app and earthquake app from Red Cross No way to alert the app creator regarding these issues so Ive decided to rate the app as crap Hopefully someone will research and address these problems     Constant App Issues not retaining locations
Please consider adding data and tracking from the NOAA Central Pacific Hurricane Center That would be greatly appreciated by Hawaii Red Cross unit and Hawaii the 50th state residents           Add Central Pacific Hurricane Center
Were in Hawaii with Iselle and Julio bearing down on us and in the Tracker portion it says there are no hurricanes or tropical storms to track It says this even though its showing the tropical storm warnings        Not very good
During hurricane Rita this app was well needed But inspire of it all I survived This app today makes things a whole lot better                 Red Cross is Awesome
I just got a local weather alert saying there was a tropical storm in the Gulf and when I go to your app it doesnt even show it How useless is that The same thing happened last year with the hurricanes in Hawaii You need to fire your support analysts or get out of the business of telling weather     Useless if you dont show the storms
I feel much more prepared thanks to this app it has helped guide me and made me feel much more safe and ready                 Very informational
Wont start on iPad Air and iPad 4 Works on iPhone 5s           Crashes
Informative Covers just about everything Needs a good update to add badges tests and the like Wish there was more to the app              Great app
This app did send me an alert that Hurricane Ana was coming but it gives no other information no map info no track prediction etc Hawaii is part of the USA so give us full support     Poor Support for Hawaii
This is a great especially in the hurricane season I live in Florida and its hurricane season this app teaches me how to prepare for the worse Ive been living here in Fort Myers Florida for 26 years other than hurricane Andrew that I think it was the worst but it hit Miami thats like 160 miles away from me but I think that we are due for a big one here in Fort Myers Florida And at least I have this app thanks to Red Cross                 Great app Could be a lifesaver
Every time I open the app it immediately closes Come on programmers     Doesnt work on iPhone 6
So many features its surprising that it is free                 Great Free App
Old app was crashing so I downloaded the update Same thing Crashes on open Tried soft reset ect No good Liked the app when it worked better     Crash and burn
Doesnt show or alert for tropical storms hurricanes in HI     Dont use for Hawaii
This app gives excellent help in warning helping prepare for a possible upcoming disaster whether it be a hurricane tornado tropical storm or flooding Living in Florida we certainly need assistance in preparation for all of the above                 Disaster Assistance
Useless     Hurricane ap
Common sense you need to review                 Informative
Storms and hurricanes names are missing Add them and I would add the missing star              Needs names
Beyond Perfect                 I love this app
I got this app as my daughter just moved to Florida Reading the other reviews I didt know what to expect but the app wont even let me save her location as a monitored location Only monitors my current location Might help if a hurricane hits Illinois     RWS
Muy buena                 Excelente
No crashes as I track Gonzalo Still the best                 Tracking Gonzalo
The only feature I found even somewhat useful was the weather map Dont waste your time on this app Much better free hurricane apps available        Dont waste your time
App crashes when attempting to take knowledge test     Crashed
Outstanding app strongly believe everyone should have on their smartphones and home computer A life saver for sure                 A life saver
I love it A musthave app for anyone who lives in or travels through hurricaneprone areas Push alerts are great for keeping alert of quicklychanging weather conditions                 Amazing OneStop Hurricane Resource
They had a chance for this app to make a real difference in Hawaii this week and it flopped Practically nothing worked right Even with 2 active hurricanes on us there were no weather maps for Hawaii no shelters listed and it could track only ONE storm at a time the one that was not currently a threat The minute that the hurricane was downgraded to a tropical storm its track disappeared completely even though it was upon us at the time The menus are confusing and most eventually lead to a request for donations The emergency kit list looked promising but it crashed each time you tried to use it on the iPad so was useless The only thing it seemed to do right was pass through the national weather service storm alerts as text which you can get any number of other ways now As it is dont bet your life on this app     NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME
This is a really great app It provides alerts and warning as well as safety information It has a lot of really great features like a flash light strobe light and alarm It also lets you send a message to friends and family letting them know you are safe The only problem I had was sometimes the stone light wouldnt turn off When I would slide the switch it kept going When I turned it back in it got dimmer but kept going Closing the app stopped it though Overall great app              Great
Wish it were working properly           Great unstable app
Does not accurately show storm systems like other apps and sites     Bad at tracking storms
Prefer a meteorology app not a simplistic and crash prone list of what to do to get ready Track display not very useful if the app even finds any storms currently 3 named and app says none found The text is written for a youngster not an adult and the interface too clunky     Not great
Great learning app              Hurricane
Im sitting here in Hawaii with 2 hurricanes heading this way and this app says there are no alerts Whats up with that Boo     No help
I read the reviews and didnt expect much so I wasnt surprised when I kept popping out of the app onto my home page on my iPad Reminds me of Microsoft where something is introduced with the intention of working out the bugs as the complaints come in     Didnt work
I live on the Hawaiian Islands And with Tropical Storm Ana heading right for us and turning into a hurricane I turned to my Hurricane app for some info But the tracker showed nothing and said nothing about Ana at all even though it was all over the news So dont depend on the tracker at all It does have some helpful stuff on what to do in the event of an actual hurricane though     Lame
Havent had to use this app for an emergency yet but it does have a lot of useful info                 Hurricane
Great app when the radar works Were expecting our 8th tropical storm of the season this week Ive been able to follow ONE Very disappointed        No radar
The test does not allow you to put in the correct answer on the last badge the last question The answer is 6 inches of water but the moving scale only allows you to put 1 inch or more Therefore no one can get the badge           Hurricane test
Crashes on launch Has since installed on my 5s     Broken
I wanted an app with straightforward hurricane tracking and local connections Not so much background information that I already know A little cumbersome but I am keeping in case it provides good info for after a storm           Just ok
As a volunteer with emergency services highly recommend this resourceful app to all who have a compatible smart phone                 Great source of resources
Excellence is what Red Cross aims for With these new apps they have achieved it and then some What I write here applies to the apps for Earthquake Flood Hurricane Tornado and Wildfire Im vulnerable to all five Each of these apps provides information on what to do during the event right after then what to do for longer range recovery and now that you know its important how to plan ahead for the next one You can set the app to alert you when one of these events occurs near your current location and at other locations where family or friends live The shelter button will show a map of nearby shelters If you need driving directions from your current location press a button and there they are Each of these apps is also designed to teach Each one provides a test covering information relevant to the topic You can actually learn something There are other valuable Red Cross apps on first aid for people and for pets swimming donating blood Red Cross volunteer connections and shelters open across the entire US with addresses and current status For those so inclined these apps are also available in Spanish Just press a button Except pet first aid 1 all of these apps are free a group of gifts supported by donations of the American people                 Much improved
The weather map is not reliable Sometimes it shows weather conditions such as rain and other times it does not show any weather even when other weather apps are showing lots of rain clouds tornado watches high wind activity etc This app cannot be trusted        Cannot be trusted updated review
Really cool update like the new maps Im safe Make a plan and the tool kit Great improvement keep up the good work guys                 New update Rocks
Nice app out of the other that exist                 Good One
Im sure this app would be fantastic but it has an error when entering location that appears to be an SQL database problem on the server side Fix it Ill change my review     Server errors
The app is beautifully designed and it is easy to use Alerts and information are consistent and informative I can always depend on this app come hurricane season Its a must have                 Works well high quality design
