My first version of this is 2 12 and it works like a charm I was a little hesitant to choose this app reading some of the reviews of earlier versions But I was in a jam and needed an app with this functionality ASAP So I gave it a try and it worked perfectly I recomend turning off Compare File Content as it will greatly slow down the comparison process Just having Compare Modify Date should be enough for most users like me Thank you Yong Chen you helped me to save the day                     100 Happy G3Chris1

When you force me to pay to try a program with NO chance of a refund and then I find it to be a load of garbage You can expect this to be my reaction A PRO sync app by definition should be able to do all of the following basic functions PLUS something advanced or else it simply isn t a PRO app It is a LITE app pretending to be something it is not Such is the case with Folder Sync Pro Minus 1 star for each of these unforgiveable mistakes omissions WHAT Evidently you must terminate the program in order to start a new sync task Is it SO much trouble to put a new task menu selection or button This was my first clue that I had made a bad purchase There is no task management at all So you have to redefine your sync task each time you need to do it This app cannot monitor folders and automatically sync changed added or deleted files This marks it as LITE and defintely NOT a PRO app This is a very basic app with some cute GUI ideas There is nothing PRO about it Minus another star for not having a lite version to try before you buy But in the case of this app that would probably be app suicide as no one would choose this over the other app for 2 bucks more if they could try it first I feel like such an idiot for buying this just to save 2 freekin bucks     PRO i don t think that word means what you THINK it means steedvlx600

Dear I bought the Pro version Folder Sync I noticed the lack of some basic features 1 Show only the files with differences only files what will be synchronized when you list all the files of the the directory the user has need to be checking the in all list of what files will be synchronized It would be interesting to have an option to filter the display of all files or filter only the files to be synchronized 2 Also missing is the option to show the total size of the files to be synchronized thus allowing to analyze the target disk has enough space to store all the files that will be transferred space Original written in Portuguese Estimados comprei a vers o Folder Sync Pro Percebi a falta de algumas funcionalidades b sicas 1 Mostrar somente as diferen as ou seja o que sera sincronizado Ao mostrar tudo o usu rio tem que ficar verificando a lista do que sera sincronizado Seria interessante ter uma op o para filtrar a apresenta o de todos os arquivos ou somente os que ser o sincronizados 2 Falta tamb m a op o de mostrar o tamanho total dos arquivos que ser o sincronizados permitindo assim analisar se o disco de destino tem espa o suficiente para armazenar todos os arquivos que ser o transferidos Original escrito em portugu s             Sugestions Porcaria 2

Just installed Folder Sync Pro on my iMac which had to have the hard drive reformatted and 10 7 5 re installed I was trying to put some needed files back onto the hard drive from a USB external hard drive FSP installed easily and starts up very fast I have two beefs with it it does what it says it will do but takes a LOOOOOONG time to do so I had created a movie folder on my iMac and had placed a few files on it I booted the external drive and wanted to make sure I had everything The folder has about 22Gb of data so I set it up and let it go Should it take over 3 hours to sync that much data I realized USB isn t Firewire but it still seemed to take forever My second beef is that for MY installation FPS won t quit I have to do a Force Quit on it every time I use it That s really annoying I think the idea is great it s very easy to configure and it does exactly what you tell it to do Except quit             Folder Sync Pro not quite there yet Michael54

Being so paranoid about losing my images I haphhazardly been backing up multiple versions of all my photos on numerous hard drives It got to the point where some folders had edited photos in them and I had no idea which hard drives were outdatted or not It was super easy to use this application which I appreciate so much I had about 50 sub folders under my personal photography main folder and the app made it very easy to sync both ways making both drives equal Very helpful Thank you And 4 99 is the perfect price point Any higher than that I would have looked elsewhere                     I Zieldesign

In the days prior to the cloud I kept multiple external drives that connected to my various computers The folders from these drives eventually migrated back to my mac and they all had different versions of the same folders and files It took me all of 20 minutes to synchronize these folders to where I had one folder saving space and removing multiple instances of the same file I only looked for this program after being let down by the OSX merge feature which worked at times and not at others This app does what it says sync folders manually and does it quickly and efficiently Well worth the cost for me                     Does What it Says NaNurse

I agree with the last review it works very well but you have to manually analyze and sync I was hoping it would automatically see a change in the folder files and then automatically sync while running in the background It would be great if it had a small icon to display up top and possibly auto start with start up                 Please add Folder Watch mode or auto sync jefflopezphotography

I thought I could setup a couple folders to sync and the app would do the work of watching the folders and sync automatically as things changed but it doesn t Though it does get the job done of syncing files I have to manually open the app and run the sync each time Maybe I should be giving myself the 2 stars because it s not working the way I would like to use it but I just don t see why anyone would use it manually each and every single time Plus if you use it heavily going into the history to go through previous syncs doesn t sound like a fun way to remmeber all the things you want to sync         Syncing isn t seamless AF123134

Immediately after syncing two folders an analysis shows that many folders are in need of synchronization Apparently because the dates aren t the same Causing a lot of unnecessary syncing and network traffic     Almost worthless Short attention span theatre

I purchased this software a couple days ago and have been using it to backup and sync my documents folder with a backup drive I have run single files small folders and the documents folder which is very large For single and small folders the software works GREAT However for larger folders it does take a very long time to compare the contents of the files The actual backup and sync are very fast In the future I would like to see a file count and progress bar also wold like to see a pause and resume feature for those larger folders like the documents folder For the price it is meeting my needs and am very happy                 Works as well ColOHNorm

I purchased this app hoping to sync a back up hard drive that I use between my PC and mac It basically does the job but it is extremely slow Granted the folder was 19 gigs but synctoy free on my PC takes 3 minutes not 30 minutes Also if you click on any of the features of this app it continually tries to re analyze the folders Unless you want to wait another 30 minutes for big folders you have to force close I will be looking for another program         Slow and sensative AJH09876
