As many people are looking to take iPad seriously as a everyday-use device, web developers are lacking many tools necessary to use the platform to develop on. Web Tools brings three tools that front-end web ...
Wished I had read the reviews first Great work but really need to be able to edit CSS live Will we are this update our should I keep looking             Great start but Guitar_Surfer44
My use of the inspector on my Mac depends heavily on the ability to click an element on the page and inspect it I also tend to use Find to find references to particular strings within HTML CSS Too bad as the core UI and features look solid             Looks promising but lacks key features Shazam user since 2008
This app is pretty useless Firebug does so much more and it s free Update 6 12 16 4 months without an update on an app that has severe usability problems Perhaps the developer isn t making enough money on this to warrant an update In any case do not buy         Needs work bobdobbs1999
No selector I cant select an element on the page and see the html for it Doesnt show css Shows only computed styles which is useless             Missing essential stuff combinot
This is the only browser Dev tools app I have found and was very excited to have a mobile solution for web Dev that matched my desktop workflow Unfortunately there is no CSS editing so you can use the inspector to identify the CSS you want to change and switch over to you ftp code editor tool and make changes but there is no way to non destructively experiment with CSS changes live in the browser like you can do in Safari or Chrome on the desktop             Almost there needs CSS editing WillyC
I have been hoping for an app like this This is great for web developers who want to be able to work with their iPads in conjunction with a text editor like Coda iOS One thing I would like is more control over the height of the window or at least something that tells you the pixel height of the window like there is for the width But this is a fantastic start for an app that could become an integral part of an on the go web developer s tool box                 A great start ryan90v
Web Tools fills a niche for web designers and developers looking to do light work on an iPad At this point the feature set is pretty bare bones and needs to be expanded to be truly powerful but the ability to inspect and edit the source on any web page is a good start A major missing feature is the ability to live edit CSS from external style sheets i e where the styles don t appear in the HTML itself I hope that there are enough people looking for this kind of tool that the developer can justify continued investment and enhancement                 Promising jwoldan
Makes testing responsive designs on an iPad so much easier and the JavaScript console is a great way to quickly debug things                     Must have for front end developers keithy
This update is awesome Really loving the app so far and a JavaScript console makes it even better Thanks so much                     JavaScript Penderworth
I was a bit wary about purchasing this app but 1 it was on sale and 2 I don t think there are many iPad Pro users who also do front end web design development I like that this exists However I wish there was a way for me to inspect an element by clicking on it Maybe it could be a two finger tap Also the text in the dev tool could be smaller or adjustable It would also make sense to me if the dev tool snapped to the right of the webpage when the screen size is made thinner Seems to be a waste of space otherwise Again this could benefit from being adjustable I m not sure what the full price of this app is but I think it at least needs the enhancements I detailed above to be worth the price of admission so to speak                 Good start Spaceman Fresh
