The content of distiller is wonderful I love the layout and the concept Im always adding new bottles to my wish list and I read every blog post without fail The bummer here is that the app itself is miserable to use No landscape orientation on an iPad Why The distiller website has no trouble with this Also the search is glitchy and always kicks you back to the top of the list when you go back from looking at specific bottle That search problem has been there for a number of different updates and may never go away Oh well I will still keep using it since the content is so strong but I wish the app worked as well as the website and that the search issue would get fixed        Good content poor execution

Ive always had trouble choosing what to buy since Im new to the world of whiskey Ive been looking for something to help me out and this has been so incredibly useful in helping me choose drinks for myself and my friends                 Amazingly useful

Unfortunately the app is not really all that great Currently its a cheap reskin of the mobile site which runs better than the app does The app chugs along at a snails pace and the scrolling banner at the top of the mobile page throws you off thinking its just the introduction to the app Facebook integration for account creation and account log in wasnt working for me either Id suggest sticking to the mobile site or your computer to get your whiskey suggestions for now Want to love it but just cant right now        Not a fan of the app but love the site and idea

This is a very good app It has a very comprehensive catalog of whiskeys and I really like the professional reviews I also really enjoy the easy interface to add bottles to my collection top shelf and wish list The only criticism is I wish you could sort whiskeys in your collection Many bottles have been added through the months so the list is getting hard to navigate to find specific bottles Ideally I would like to sort my collection and top shelf alphabetically by name by rating by country of origin etc Please add that feature in the next update and this will really be a fantastic app              Mostly great just one small request

Love love this app As a newbie to the Whiskey world I love reading about whats out there to try This gives you a Professional score an avg user review score and the price range of the whiskey Im on it daily reading about whats coming out what I havent tried yet and adding to my Wishlist all the time                 PERFECT

Not a fan of the cheapo nonnative implementation of this app Its a shame because the content is stellar and the graphic design is one of the best Ive seen Hope you guys do the right thing and get this redone in native code        Does not do content and graphic design justice

This app is a great way to get educated and informed about whiskey I have been a whiskey aficionado for decades and this is the best app by far I agree it could use some interface updates but its always been fast allows me to keep a great journal and rating system too Highly recommend this app                 Great app to get educated

The keyboard issue has to be fixed It pops up every time you go back to the search screen This is annoying when you want to check out various spirits by the same name It also needs to be optimized better to flow as an APP As it is now it functions close to a mobile website        Needs improvement

Obviously this is full of good ideas and has great promise But the app itself isnt there yet I tried to give them feedback but they have an expired Zendesk account so its hard to tell if they actually want the feedback Its a wrapper for their website so it doesnt work seamlessly lots of pages randomly reload buttons are strangely sized and content gets lost with big text Its all the same problems you might see on an optimized for mobile website Once they have an app that was developed to run natively on iPhone theyll have a real winner Until then I dont see myself using these features        Good idea mediocre execution

The keyboard issues make this app frustratingly useless With so much useful information for the whiskey or spirits lover thats a shame The ease of logging on has been an issue too not recognizing the user name or password and not being able to log on efficiently Fix your technical issues and the site will be used quite often by this user Otherwise its of little use     Technical issues

It loses a star for me with the idiotic enter your birthday deal You cant order whiskey through the app so theres no legal reason for it to be there Then you enter your country and the app populates with a string glowing reviewsof bottles that arent sold in the US So its basically useless unless youre searching a specific brand but then why not just use google        More annoying than useful

I dont really mind giving my date of birthwhat really annoys me is that if you click on a particular scotch to read about it when you hit the back arrow it takes you back to the beginning of the entire list Didnt anyone test this before uploading it to Apple If Ive scrolled down a hundred or so listings I certainly dont want to have to do it again each time Im done reading about a particular scotch or bourbon Major fail        Very Annoying

I found the selection limited to things youd find in a pretentious Bay Area whiskey bar Surprise Surprise An app by yuppies for yuppies        Essentially a container for a blog

My focus is scotch but this app is great for whiskey too Ive tried SEVERAL apps Biggest issues have been annoying UI and more problematic the others havent been updated in years Distiller is fresh fun and humble They work really hard to make the app fun to useand more important the content is constantly updated Not just a rating appsee other users collections and their ratingsnotes get articles to learn more about your favorite scotchwhiskey subjects and really feel youre part of a community Only feature I wish they had is the ability to store bottles in your collection not already on their lists I have 23 bottles not on their list so I cant track my WHOLE collection from this appwhich is something Id really like to see soon hint hint                 Fresh Fun and Useful Best WhiskeyScotch App

This app is my secret weapon when Im in a bar and want to try something new off the whiskey listDistiller I search the list and find something interesting to try thats not my goto Bulleit Makers etc Also Ive consulted it in the grocery store a few times when Im buying it for home or gifts and have discovered some great finds with high ratings for crazy good prices                 My best friend in bars

The content in the app is good with excellent information reviews and recommendations However the interface is awful and broken Nearly every form from sign up to search has problems Things jump around buttons dont act as they should its just a poorly written app Very disappointing a little QA would go a long way here        Good but flawed
