Deco Bikes - iPhone Application

am I missing something I downloaded it to my iPad and it simply does not work     simply doesnt work

The CitiBike system had so much promise All it had to do was be better than the decrepit DecoBike system that preceded it After only a few months CitiBike has already matched or outdone DecoBike in a completely unreliable system I have been a monthly subscriber for years so I know firsthand about the neverending daily frustrations that one must endure as a frequent user Ok about the app You have a 5050 shot of the stations loading and therefore being able to know in advance which of the many stations to hit for a bike Since the system has a very high demand you could easily walk to 2 nearby stations with both being empty or only having one bike in disrepair or that will not come out of the station This could waste 10 minutes of your time easily At least you get the exercise and sun About the system the monthsold CitiBikes have a very high incidence of disrepair I constantly get bikes with gear issues Ive had a couple of bikes with flat tires Brake issues Seat issues The new CitiBikes seem to have an alarming incidence of the pedal assembly completely falling off one side Trying to get a bike to smoothly come out of the station requires the patience of a saint It may take multiple attempts trying different angles trying 3 or 4 different bikes If your name isnt Jesus Buddha or Mother Theresa you may need to take a few deep breaths to calm down With DecoBike you could report a bike in disrepair and it would be locked down Havent figured out how to do this with CitiBike Dont believe you can which means that all the broken bikes are left sitting for you to rent Once you start riding away on one of these lemons you have to turn back return the bike and try try again I highly recommend that you pray to your preferred diety or saint for at least 30 mins prior to renting from CitiBike Maybe by grace you will avoid its many pitfalls     App works about half the time much like the Citibike system overall

The map function does not work     The map does not work

After the most recent updates on August 12 AND August 19 the app will no longer open     App STILL wont open since recent update

Clicking on map it crashes every time Tried 6 times now     Crashes constantly

Every time you hit the map button it crashes The map function on this app is probably one of the most important aspects of this app Probably something that should be fixedsoon     Map crashes Every single time

I do not recommend this app or this service This app is poorly designed with little to no thought put into UI At best I would call this a mock up of an app that I would show to a potential client It is no where near ready for shipping Maps are slow and poorly integrated consistently crashes app When getting to certain menus through tabs elements are missing Title bars not present but rest of app acts like its still present Very limited information mostly just the same few bits of information recycled Contact page doesnt work properly you cant tap to email or call All info is just walls of text lifted from website not even properly formatted to fit the app This app was not coded by someone that really knows what they are doing And with the map crashes it really is unusable Use at your own risk On a side note I would not use this company in Long Beach NY I do not know how they operate in Miami but in NY they do not have their act together I was unable to rent a bike but they seemed more than able to charge my credit card Night time customer service can not do anything but be rude and hang up on you It seems that they are unable to unlock the bikes consistently maybe a problem with new hard ware They are not ready for prime time and should not have launched Also when opening a new location they should have had capable customer service 24 hours for at least the first week To sum up this app and this service Long Beach NY branch are not ready and should be avoided Maybe in the future they will hire a real developer for their app and get all the bugs worked out but until such time I can only say STAY AWAY     DO NOT USE

and thats the useful feature     The MAP crashes

Maybe you guys need to ask the people who developed CityBike NYC to learn how to make this app more useful     Poor

Running iOS 702     Map feature crashes all the time

We have Decobike here in San Diego now but this app only shows Miami locations Why have an app if you dont support all locations Can you imagine if Car2Go did this Major flaw     Doesnt support all locations

Found Deco Bikes on a visit to Miami Beach Great fun Used the app to find the closest docking station                 Miami Bikes

Great way to check if there are bikes available and where all the bike docks are so I can return the bikes at the closest location                 Great app

It even doesnt load now on iPhone 4s and iOS 712     Good fixing for 2 years

Update April 2014 crashes when opening map section I reinstalled the app but no fix Older review As a longterm Miami Beach resident I love the DecoBike system The Deco Bikes app is a great complement particularly after updating to v11 Its geolocation engine is now fixed so it finds me and gives me the nearest bike stations and how many bikes are available The method of locating a station by opening a Google Map page and adding it as a favorite is a bit convoluted but now works The How to use DecoBike section could have more substance and a link to the full DecoBike website is now at the InfoAbout DecoBike section The embedded DecoBike video it referred to in version 10 is now viewed as well via a link within the InfoAbout DecoBike section All in all a major improvement over first version     Crashes when opening maps
