I like the games fashioned after classic novels This had an interesting story line with clever HOPs and somewhat challenging mini games but as others have said there is much to improve This game had the feel of one made in 2011 or 12 The HOPs were either too sensitive or the target spot was way off That right there was a sore spot for me trying to get an item to attach to its programmed spot I don t mi d an older style game as long as the movement is smooth Sparkles were set too fast too I m a huge fan of sparkles they add a lot to the whole aura of the game If you slow them down a bit they can be enjoyed more which enhances the game I do hope an effort will be made to correct the substandard features Nice game otherwise             Good game w reservations duidance

This game was a disaster and a disappointment from start to finish I did not experience an actual crash but the game was a glitchy mess I would say to all gamers do not buy this game unless you like to be frustrated BigFish ERS needs to get their quality assurance under control especially for the price of this game You could customize settings The graphics were on the dark and bleak side but that was the general ambiance of this ill fated and twisted love story Collectibles were thankfully limited to tarot cards The game had no cohesive diary although there was a task list Loading was not instantaneous between locations but the lag time was short The teleport map was marked if so customized but it was a weird sliding map so it was quite easy to accidentally teleport to an unwanted location Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble however inventory application was often very difficult and made me question whether I was using the correct item The gimmick in this game was a magical camera which you use on purple fog to get clues or inventory items The HO scenes had variation I dreaded them because it was nearly impossible to apply inventory in these scenes and when you had to use one object to unlock another the items were so small I could barely tell which item was needed It was also extremely easy to accidentally back tap out of the HO scene which I found quite annoying There were not many puzzles games and most of them were unoriginal and boring rotational types The game seemed very dated This game wasn t lengthy even with the bonus adventure but I just wanted to finish it because it was so tedious to play My true rating is 1 5 stars Dracyy I think you were generous with your rating BigFish can we get more than one good game per week This game shouldn t have been brought to market with so many quality assurance issues This is not the first time that ERS has done this and you keep letting them get away with it Gamers should not have to pay for awful glitchy games I sure hope we get something amazing on Monday Lynxie sends to the DTE and to all the gamers who fought their way through this disaster of a game     Dark Tales Metzengerstein by LynxMinx lynx minx

I ve noticed in the recent games that the touch areas are too small or off target And sometimes they don t register all the time Very frustrating In this game the bottom quarter of the screen is the return area much too large I kept getting sent back when I was just clicking on an object I love the map feature It s a great way to get help without a real hint The story was okay I guess I d rather see a good haunted house story where you re just trying to save the soul and escape the house More scares less convoluted plot             Pretty good except Newjimmy2

Update as promised original review below The crashes dropped off further into the game however that didn t improve the story Inventory is tiny and difficult to place Whole game looks dated previously released Poe games were better than this one Two stars is generous a rare low rating for me I ve played less than 5 minutes and it crashed and kicked me out and closed 3 times Rarely do I have this issue with games My iPad is up to date fairly new with lots of available memory and no open apps in the background I have filed a report with the developer by clicking on the tools cog in the main menu of the game where you usually go to rate the game and chose NO give feedback I encourage anyone else having these issues to do the same In the meantime play the free trial wish I had and if you find it tolerable great If not wait for an update version history main page of this description right by in app purchases bottom of pop up Should they fix this issue I will update my review but to give an honest review I would need to be able to play the game which frankly I don t have the patience for what with the constant crashes and reopening         Crash and burn Dracyy
