Any time I attempt to add an ingredient not on the initial screen the app crashes Unusable at this point     Still crashing

Great App over all with tons of features and easily navigated I would like to see timers and easy way to import existing recipes              Great Brewing App

UPDATE I figured out a way to get all my recipes back it included the use of iCloud If you didnt have back up prior to losing information then Im not sure if it will work First I deleted the app downloaded the app again and then uploaded from iCloud I left the app open for about 510 minutes without messing around with it and all the info I lost came back Wouldve been 5 stars if it werent for the hassle Ive been using this app for several years adding all my recipes as I brew Its been a great tool until the past few updates All the names of my brews are there but none of the ingredients Used to love this app now it upsets me Luckily I have most written on paper              I lost ALL my recipes

Lost all of my recipes iCloud is synced All of the recipes are listed but when I click on them they are all blank Please help              Lost all recipes

The database of ingredients and styles is impressive Recipe creation is as effective as any desktop brewing software available I updated this review once its functionality became clear and I am happy to recommend it highly                 Updated Quite useful

After losing all of my recipes with the latest update I created a new one just last weekend and now it shows up with all s and null values as well Which essentially means even for new users it doesnt work anymore It seems to be completely useless right now     Wont save new recipes either

Like so many other users I lost all my recipes with the latest update This was a decent app with a few minor flaws and I used it happily for a couple of years But the ONE job it needed to do properlyrecipe creation and retentionit failed at in the worst possible way Time for me to search for backups and find a more reliable app        Lost Recipes

This last update wiped out half of my recipe database Worthless     Thanks for nothing Jerks

I used brew pal for several years After you get used to its quirks it was very functional Sadly a recent update trashed all of my recipes and Ive emailed the developer twice with no response Unfortunately a program is only as good as its support and Im migrating to other software     Used to be great

Ive been using brew pal for several years now and love this app for managing my recipes I export my recipes and send them to my brewing partners right from the app One thing I need from the inventory is a way to request additions directly in the app for instance I used Wyeast 1764 PacMan and there was no way to add it              Excellent for home brewers

Awesome app for a beginner or an advanced user This app is easy to use functional and works great on brew day and beyond Definitely worth the                 Advanced brewing

Big fan of this app and the price is right I had done a few extract brews and read a bunch about all grain brewing There are a lot of calculations involved nothing too hard but a lot to think about This app makes the process as well as record keeping a lot simpler The timed reminders during brewing are also a big help Some quirks though You cant delete ingredients once you add them The best you can do is reduce the quantity to something like 001 Overall solid              Just what I needed for my first all grain brew

So many problems now I never right reviews but in the last 10 days the app has gone crazy disappeared from the App Store reappeared lost all my recipes recipes returned recipes gone again Contacted app maker with no word back from them Horrible and frustrating     What has happened

Ive used Brew Pal for over a year and now its all that I brew with Ive used many other brew computers but for the money this is the best deal with the best performance And I can use it anywhere The Brew Now function is perfect no matter how many boil hop additions adjunct additions or dry hop additions you have The fact that Brew Pal follows and times your beer from mash to bottling is the best part New ingredients are added all the time and the predictions are very accurate once you get it tuned to your brew house I use the style guide to tweak my recipes to fit styles perfectly no matter how adventurous my recipe is If you create your own recipes you will not regret this app If you brew from kits or print recipes this app will keep you perfectly on track Ive read many of the other reviews and Ive never had any of the issues people are complaining about Ive found that 99 of bad reviews in the App Store are because of user error or poor phone maintenance you cant run your apps properly with 98 of your memory full people Gotta go the Brew Pal alarm just told me I have a hop addition                 All that I brew with

Ive used this app for a few years While some early versions were buggylost data the newer version is awesome                 Perfect

This is my go to app for both creating recipes and brewing Even can quickly adjust things if I run into problems while brewing It is great that one can change the defaults of grains and hops I only have two wantsrequests for the app First is to have more grains added eg Briess Or the ability for individuals to addsave their own malts and hops Second would be the ability to export a PDF of your recipes One can email the recipe and save the PDF of the email but a clean PDF would be better That way I feel my recipes are safer than just being in an app              Great recipe and brewing app

Unfortunately unlike the first reviewer I wasnt able to recover my recipes 33 of them even though they were supposedly backed up to the iCloud I hope an app update will fix these issues     Crashes

I am a probrewer I have been using ProMash for 12 Years in the brewhouse I got this as a replacement I only use it iOS The latest upgrades have made it a really valuable tool It is my only brewing software now I am hoping that refractometer math and water math will be added                 Getting Much Better

I have enjoyed using Brewpal to develop monitor and save all my beer recipes I decided to use their iCloud sync feature so I could have my recipes portable to share with Homebrew club members I turned on the sync feature and all my recipes disappeared I went back to the original device and names of brews were there but the ingredients had been wiped away Now even the names are gone and all my saved work is lost I emailed support weeks ago no response Im moving to an alternative and secure app     Years of saved recipesVANISHED

Great app I use it for every brew I like the portability so I can build a recipe on the bus going to work I love everything about the app but watch out for one thing if you add ingredients from the adjunct list it wont account for them in the watergrain ratio So your mash will be too thick The workaround is to add everything from the fermentables list                 Great Brewing Tool

This app is my brewing assistant on EVERY brew day              Great app

Ive only been brewing for 6 months and havent used Beersmith or any of the other pricier apps but this one is well worth the price It does everything I need for all grain batches and the calculators seem to be right on the money I would give it 5 stars but some of the defaults and menus are not perfect It is pretty frequently updated and the developer continues to add more useful functions and clean it up I love this app and use it for every batch Start with this before you waste big money on some of the other apps out there              Very helpful app

Great brew day app Its all I need to brew One request could an export option be added that would just export a simple list of ingredients instead of having to email links or what not I discovered this app on reddit yet I cant export my recipes to share on reddit or save my recipe as a note file This would also be helpful at the LHBS to serve as a grocery list Also could the calendar button on the recipes section be larger Sometimes I have a hard time getting a recipe to open the date section instead of the generic recipe Will update to five stars when updates are made Overall a great app though              All you need for a brew day

WTH Where did my recipes go This update is messed up I open the app and my its goes up but when I clickopen a recipe there is nothing there What the hell 624 930pm I wish I could rate this at 0 stars Its still efd up And no response from customer support 62615     This is serious

I love this app for developing recipes and brewing but I lost all of my recipes I had 15 to 20 which was a lot of invested time Now I have names but all of the ingredients are gone It should have synced but something is not working right Only the names and general info were retained If this worked it would be five stars           Great for recipes but I lost all of mine

Disappointed to find that the app wont work on my ipod 4 because it requires IOS 7 This is Bullhit I know there were older versions why not offer on ethat is compatable     refund or offer older app

I used to love this app but all my recipes are now corrupt They all are blank or null in all their fields now Also happens to new recipes Add a fermentable to a new recipe and it shows up as null Very frustrating        All my recipes are corrupt

I really enjoy this app Designing my own recipes scaling up scaling down recipes getting estimates of ABV and IBU as well as saving me from calculating my water volumes for different mashing processes This is such a good app and probably the best dollar for dollar value out there For an intermediate brewer who likes to do some all extract some partial mash and some all grain this app is just what you need The only thing that would be nice to have is a way to convert extract recipes to all grain and vice versa                 Perfect level of complexity

Does pretty much everything Id like it to Makes creating recipes extremely is easy especially if Im trying to match a certain style LOTS of functionality I also lost all my recipes but when I closed and reopened the app they were all there                 Incredibly useful

This is a great app Everything you need to brew with and have found it to be pretty accurate around water volumns The app lets you import and export recipes to and from various sources In addtion to importing it also lets you create new recipes from scratch As with any app there are always improvements that could make it better such as syncing to the cloud but overall a great app              Great Brewing App

Just updated with the new version but app still crashes when I try to modify batch size in a recipe Also couldnt find pale chocolate malt in the ingredients list Maybe add a make your own ingredient to the list so you can add and name your own ingredient to a recipe Otherwise great app              A few comments

I have some brewing experience but what held me back was a way to organize the recipes I had in mind Doing them in word was turning out to be a hassle and too time consuming since I had to stop and verify that my fg and og reading would fit the style I was aiming for Simply put the best app to create store and modify your recipes even to take them to bjcp competitions                 Great for experienced and novice brewers

Id love to say the new version is fantastic with the inclusion of ingredients and the new calculators but I cant because it crashes like crazy now           New version crashes

If youve never used quality brewing software before and dont do allgrain then you might think this is neat However it has NEVER had enough in it to do serious allgrain brewing like Beersmith Beeralchemy and other PC programs That was OK cause it was cheap and had a bunch of calculators like converting Brix to Specific Gravity with refractometer adjustment But the new release is broken and buggy They tried to do more with the brewing part failed on that and then deleted all the useful tools ITS NOW WORTHLESS Give me the old working version or give me my money back Updated to 31 now crashes POS     Its now worthless again

I have foolishly purchased other apps for homebrewing others even more expensive and boasting more features thinking they were going to outshine BrewPal They never do This app is super easy to use and the water volumes and recommended temps are spot on for me every time The list of hops yeast and ingredients seem to grow with each update indicating to me that the developers are always working to improve the app Dont waste your money on other homebrew apps                 The only homebrew app you need

Was fine prior to this release Cant print to airprinter Cant remove ingredients from a recipe No response when emailing support Youve got my now Ill need to look elsewhere for a viable brewing app     1 star because zero stars is not an option

I loved 16x but hated 20x I havent used 30x a lot but my preliminary impressions are very good It looks great and is much more userfriendlyand it looks like all my old recipes all imported perfectly                 Version 30x is great

If you asked me a month ago I would have given rave reviews of BrewPal Now like everyone else I lost a couple of years worth of recipes Ive tried some tricks others ha e tried to the them back to no avail Customer service is nonexistent Will give them a chance with next update otherwise it is useless     Bye Bye recipes Bye Bye App

Ive used a few of the other popular brew apps but this one has the best UI by far and best of all Ive finally found an app with both a Brew Day timer AND a fermentation calendar Would highly recommend this app to any home brewer                 Finally

Using brew pal for all my batch calculations for years now and I love it Interface design is good Allows me to plan out and tinker with my all grain batches with ease I vastly prefer this to beersmith Only features that would really help me is a residual alkalinity calc for water and a pitching rate calc Great app especially for the price                 Best Brewing app
