I was excited when I saw this app available but it leaves much to be desired Besides the login issue grading with a rubric is selectively responsive Sometimes I try to choose a rubric category and the touchscreen doesnt recognize a tap Also add the ability to markup assignments for more effective feedback It is too time consuming to have to type out every response canned responses would also be nice In short look at what TurnItIn is doing with their app and improve upon it     Learn from TurnitIn

I cannot get my assignments to load A fail right off the bat                 Does not work

This doesnt reliably connect with my account so dont think youll be able to use it if you want to grade with it Needs to remember me my school and let me just put in my password for the security feature     Works doesnt work works doesnt work

I was so excited when this app came out because I would love to grade from my iPad instead of hauling around my laptop Everything seemed to work seamlessly until you actually have to start grading The tutorial screens wont go away no matter what I did I think this app is still in its developmental stages I wish they didnt release the app and got everyone so excited when the app doesnt even work for its purpose I may rethink my review if its already updated and fixed and I can actually grade     Cant grade anything

Im not a big fan of the Blackboard LMS to begin with but this app is terrible It is completely useless My students submitted their papers and when I went to try to grade them it said it could not download the documents therefore I could not even view the papers to be able to grade them Then it gave me an option to open the file in another app but when I chose to open it in Pages or Google docs the apps did not interface with each other so still no document to read The only thing this app allows me to do when its working is see which students have submitted assignments and which ones havent Thats it If Blackboard doesnt step up its game its going to continue to lose market share exponentially     Pointless

When its good its very very good but when its bad its horrid I never know if its going to work or not One day it doesnt recognize my university and I cant log in The next day I can log in but server isnt responding or assignmentscourses cant download Other days all is well iPad 2 IOS 81 Bb in a hosted environment           Not very reliable

If this is their best effort at a grading app for faculty who use Blackboard Learn the folks at Blackboard would be better served by reassigning the resources applied to this pitiful tool to work on the plethora of problems with their core app Blackboard Learn This grading app is actually worse than no app at all Despite the fact that there are multiple gradable activities and tools in Blackboard Learn the grader app is ONLY functional with items submitted by students via the Assignments tool Student submissions are slow to openwhen they open at all This is a complete waste of time     Too Bad That Zero Stars Isnt an Option

This app is inconsistent It works maybe once every 20 times I try to use it It would be great if it worked but it simply doesnt     It simply doesnt work

App outright doesnt function Im on a 3rd generation iPad with with up to date software and whenever I try to log in I get one of two different error messages Dont waste your time with this Until the developer does a complete overhaul its best to grade papers the oldfashioned way     Doesnt work at all

At first I was really upset that there wasnt a version of this app for the iPhone Then I downloaded it using an iPad and realized its not worth the effort Theres so many things wrong with this app I do not know where to begin It doesnt work as advertised and I agree with all the other comments about its limited range of usefulness I didnt think there could be an app worse then the blackboard learn mobile app I was clearly wrong I dont know whats going on with this company but they need to do something to fix these issues that are glaringly bad Its almost like the developers who created the app have no idea what its like to be a teacher Its as if they have no idea what the needs are for educators     At first

I wish this would enable me to grade quizzes and tests as well It basically only allows you to grade the assignments I HATE the way its designed too If I had to manually override a grade because a kid emailed me the assignment instead of submitting it it still sees it as not submitted Under the to do sectionthat shouldnt be showing all the blanks It should show items I have to grade that have a submission Logging inWHY do I have to re enter all my institution username password every time Basically I thought this was going to help me catch up on grading while away from my computerit doesnt Its more of a pain in the rear than its worth REALLY POOR DESIGN     Not a fan

Tried and kept trying but without a submission to grade the app is not very helpful Some work yet to be done     Another app that ignores the end user

1 You cant sort by last name only by first which doesnt make any sense 2 Takes too much time to go between entries 3 Its a great idea but needs work before it is a viable option     Good ideabad design

I teach online and give quizzes and exams on Bb with essays This app only works for Assignments Not quizzes Not exams Not Discussion boards You know all the things that need to be GRADED Poor excuse for a Grader App Maybe one day Bb will actually make their product user friendly for faculty Until then I will delete this app     Why is it called grader

This app is useless Only orientation is Portrait making using most keyboards difficult Second it only grades assignmentsno discussions no groups and no papers So whats the point     One star is too much

Some days this app works other days it will not load the assignments instead it gives an error message that the assignments cannot be loaded This appears to be yet another buggy Blackboard product I had high hopes for this app but my hopes have been dashed Blackboard please debug and test your apps prior to release test them with real users     Error messagesassignments cannot be loaded

The introductory screen will not go away for me to even be able to get to the item to grade I too am like the other responder I assign grades to discussion posts and this App only looks for items that are in the Assignment category Blackboard Learn has a LONG WAY to go before this is a useful APP I was so excited when I heard about this APP on their Webinar yesterday Now I am very DISAPPOINTED     It must still be in the Alpha Stage

Unlike a lot of people who reviewed the previous version this version seems to work for me for the most part Most of it is fairly slick My main complaint is that almost every time I open the app to check on submissions it says my session has expired and I have to One Choose my institution Two Type my login name Three Type my password and hit login Imagine what using your iPhone or iPad would be like if you had to enter your country your Apple ID name and your Apple ID password every time you unlocked the device Please at least offer an option to remember the results of step one and step two Better yet retain the entire log and securely and offer a pin code option Instructors should not be leaving their personal devices unlocked for students to use anyway           Mostly works in limited testing

Just another fail from Blackboard Its been almost 5 years since the iPad was released and we still do not have an app for entering grades Trying to use Safari on the iPad is maddening Sorry if you have to use the CMS     Terrible does not work

Once the Learn server is configured with the proper B2 to support this app it runs great I love the rubric support and well as the audio and video feedback features                 Great but need to have Learn configured

Got a message saying it cannot find my institutions serverbut the regular site is working fine At least they didnt expect me to pay for this one like they did the last two Blackboard appsI look forward to seeing what this is like because they are pretty late to the instructor app game     Is not working
